JPMorganChase’s new global headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan officially opened on October 21, 2025. The company describes the office tower as 1,388 feet tall, with 60 stories and 2.5 million square feet of workspace. The opening date is confirmed by the owner; the available announcement does not establish that it is the newest completed supertall in all of New York City.
What is the 1,388-foot skyscraper?
It is 270 Park Avenue, JPMorganChase’s global headquarters. The company’s October 21, 2025 announcement says the building was designed as an office and client workplace for 10,000 employees. That figure was a plan for year-end 2025, not a verified current occupancy count. The company also reported 8,000 construction jobs across 40 local unions during the project.

What does the building’s all-electric claim mean?
JPMorganChase calls 270 Park Avenue New York City’s largest all-electric tower and says it has net-zero operational emissions, with renewable electricity sourced from a New York State hydroelectric plant. These are claims in the owner’s announcement; the release does not provide comparative building-performance data or an independent assessment to verify them. Foster + Partners founder and executive chairman Norman Foster described the design this way: “This new all electric tower is hydro powered to minimize its carbon footprint.”

Because “newest” depends on the date and which completed buildings are included, the more precise description is JPMorganChase’s newly opened 1,388-foot headquarters. The October 2025 company announcement confirms its opening, but does not compare it against a current citywide inventory of completed supertalls.
