We could not verify a publicly available time-lapse of Auster at Dome Mountain’s construction in the sources reviewed. That does not establish that no footage exists. The available sources do document the Paradise Valley project and some of its construction context, including reuse of the former guest cabins.
Is there a time-lapse video of Auster’s construction?
No time-lapse documenting construction of Auster at Dome Mountain was verified in the available sources. Neither the official Auster site nor AMB West’s project page establishes that such a video has been published. The finding is limited: it is not proof that footage does not exist or that a private, archived, or later-released video cannot be found.

For a search such as “Auster at Dome Mountain construction progress video” or “Auster at Dome Mountain time-lapse,” distinguish actual construction footage from promotional material or architectural renderings. If a candidate clip appears, check who published it, who holds the rights, its dates, whether it shows the real site, and how much of the construction period it covers.

What is known about the construction?
AMB West says construction remained largely within the footprint of the original 1960s guest facility, and that the original guest cabins were relocated and repurposed as employee housing. The owner also says the development is outside the Yellowstone River floodway and describes its use of sustainable building materials, retained mature landscaping, and EV charging stations. These are the owner’s descriptions, not independently audited findings.

An AMB West announcement dated October 14, 2025, reproduced by Visit Gardiner, likewise describes the largely retained building footprint and reuse of the guest cabins. It quotes Auster General Manager Kayla Russum: “As much as Auster is about creating a welcoming place for people, it’s just as much about caring for the land,” and says stewardship informs how the property is built and operated. The reproduced announcement is dated October 29, 2025, in Visit Gardiner’s publication.

The official Auster website describes the property as under construction with a target opening in fall 2026. AMB West’s project page says reservations are open for stays beginning in October 2026. A separate local report published October 1, 2026, says Arthur Blank cut the ribbon on Wednesday and that the resort would welcome its first travelers on Sunday. These updates have different publication timing, so they should not be treated as one synchronized construction-status statement.

The KULR8 report, also published by the Billings Gazette, describes 20 Scandinavian-inspired cabins clad in reclaimed corral wood, one- to three-bedroom layouts, a restaurant, coffee shop, and saloon. It reports that buildings from the historic dude ranch were repurposed for employee housing and that redevelopment took more than two years. That local coverage supplies project context, not confirmation of a construction time-lapse.

Start with Auster and AMB West’s official pages for project updates. If a video is shared elsewhere, verify that it shows the actual construction site rather than renderings, confirm the date range and publisher, and look for enough dated material to substantiate that it is a time-lapse spanning a meaningful part of the build.
