Those are design features and manufacturer descriptions, not guarantees that every corner or obstacle will be handled successfully. Dysonโs own customer-review text acknowledges that the robot can sometimes get stuck and ask for help. Independent coverage has also questioned the Vis Navโs corner performance and value against newer robots (TechRadarโs Dyson vacuum recommendations).

These are Dysonโs stated specifications for the US Blue/Nickel model, not independent comparative test results. Dysonโs โmost powerfulโ and โ2x the suctionโ language is a manufacturer claim. Pa, air watts and watts describe different measurements and should not be treated as directly interchangeable for brand-to-brand rankings. Dyson also says its filtration captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns; that claim does not establish a particular allergy outcome in a home.

What it does not do: mop or empty itself
The Vis Nav is a vacuum, not a vacuum-and-mop system. It does not provide automated hard-floor mopping, mop-pad washing or drying. Its standard US package is not presented as a multifunction auto-empty dock either: users need to empty the robotโs bin manually. Dyson describes a one-touch hygienic dust-ejection mechanism, but that is not the same as automatic dust disposal into a base station.
That distinction matters at this price. Many newer premium robots combine vacuuming and mopping with a dock that handles some maintenance. If you want those tasks automated, compare the full dock and maintenance featuresโnot just suction figuresโbefore choosing.

Is it a good fit for a home with pets or allergies?
Dysonโs HEPA filtration claim and triple-action brush bar may appeal to buyers focused on vacuuming pet hair and dust. The brush is designed for hard floors and carpets, and the robot can return to charge and resume cleaning. Actual results still depend on floor type, room layout, brush upkeep, obstacles and how often the 0.15-gallon bin needs attention. A robot vacuum alone also cannot guarantee an allergy-safe home.
For homes with loose cables, clutter, difficult thresholds or furniture the robot can become trapped under, plan to prepare the floor and monitor how it navigates. A robot that needs help regularly is less convenient, even if its vacuuming features suit the household.

What to do if it gets stuck
Dysonโs US 360 Vis Nav user guide is the reference for model-specific care. The exact wording of MyDyson alerts can vary by app version, but a practical response is:
- Check the MyDyson notification to see whether the robot needs help, needs emptying or has a brush or airway obstruction.
- Free the robot if it is caught on a threshold, rug edge, cord or furniture, and clear the obstruction.
- Remove hair and debris from the brush bar and airway as directed in the user guide.
- Make sure the dock is accessible and has not been moved, then return the robot to the dock to reconnect or recharge.
- If the problem recurs, use the guide or contact Dyson support rather than repeatedly restarting the same failed run.
Warranty, returns and buying from a third party
Dysonโs US product page advertises a two-year limited warranty and free 30-day returns for Dyson Direct purchases. It also lists free shipping on eligible orders and shipping to addresses in the 50 states, subject to location and inventory restrictions.
