The Anker 525 Charging Station (model A91C0) was promoted for $36 in an Amazon deal published April 19, 2024: a $46 sale price plus a $10 coupon at checkout. That offer is historical, not verified as active now. Anker’s U.S. product page lists it at $39.99, so check the live checkout total before buying. The original deal report describes the coupon; Anker’s product page shows the current direct listing.
What the “7-in-1” Anker 525 includes
This is a compact desktop charging station, not a long household extension strip. Its seven outputs are three AC outlets, two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. The USB ports face forward and the AC outlets sit at the back, keeping many charging cables toward the front and larger plugs behind the unit. Anker lists a five-foot cord and dimensions of about 4.61 × 2.52 × 1.73 inches. Anker’s specifications and support details provide the product layout and measurements.
How much power can its USB ports deliver?
Anker lists up to 67W through a single USB-C port. That is a maximum for one connection, not a promise that every port can deliver its maximum at once. Output is shared when multiple devices are connected; Anker lists combinations such as 45W + 20W or 30W + 30W for two USB-C devices. The USB-A ports are slower, with up to 2.4A per port and a shared limit of up to 15W in the relevant configuration. With all four USB ports occupied, Anker describes output allocation of up to 30W, 20W and 15W across the USB-C/USB-A groups. Anker’s support specifications list the output combinations.
| Use | What to expect |
|---|---|
| One USB-C device | Up to 67W, subject to the device, cable and charging protocol. |
| Two USB-C devices | Power is divided; Anker lists 45W + 20W or 30W + 30W combinations. |
| USB-A devices | Up to 2.4A per port; the pair shares up to 15W in the listed configuration. |
| Several USB devices together | Available power is redistributed, so do not expect every device to charge at its maximum rate simultaneously. |
Can it charge a laptop?
It can suit many USB-C laptops that accept USB Power Delivery, especially ultraportables and everyday workloads when one USB-C port is in use. It is not a 100W laptop charger. A laptop that needs more than roughly 65–67W may charge slowly, maintain its charge only, or lose battery under heavy work. Other connected USB devices can reduce the power available to the laptop. Results also depend on a suitable cable and the laptop’s charging compatibility.

What can the AC outlets handle?
The U.S. listing rates the AC section at 125V, 60Hz and 15A, with a maximum combined load of 1,875W. That limit applies to the station’s AC section as a whole; three outlets do not mean three separate 1,875W circuits. Check the combined wattage of connected equipment, and do not use it for high-power heating appliances or motor-driven equipment unless the device instructions and Anker’s guidance permit it. This desktop station is not a substitute for a household wiring upgrade or a long-run construction-site power distribution setup.
Surge protection and safety limits
Anker lists 300 joules of surge protection, ActiveShield 2.0 temperature monitoring, short-circuit protection and other safety features. These are advertised protections, not a guarantee against every surge or lightning strike. A joule rating alone does not establish protection for every electrical event. The unit has no battery, so it cannot provide backup power during an outage; users protecting valuable equipment or needing continuity may want a dedicated higher-capacity surge protector or an appropriately sized UPS. Anker’s product page describes its protection features, while its support specifications list the 300J rating.

Who is the Anker 525 a good fit for?
Consider it if
- You want three AC outlets and built-in USB-C and USB-A charging in a compact desk or nightstand unit.
- Your usual mix is a phone, tablet, earbuds, watch and perhaps a compatible USB-C laptop.
- You value front-facing charging ports and a five-foot cord.
- You find it around $40 and do not need high-output charging for several demanding devices at once.
Look elsewhere if
- Your gaming laptop or workstation needs 100W or more.
- You need battery backup, many high-wattage AC outlets or a long extension cord.
- You expect multiple USB-C devices to receive maximum charging power simultaneously.
- You need a universal travel adapter or a device approved for cruise ships.
Anker’s support information says the AC outlet configuration is intended for U.S./Japanese standards and specifically says the power strip cannot be taken on cruise ships. Although the USB charging input is listed for 100–240V, 50/60Hz, that alone does not make the complete product a universal travel strip. Check destination plugs and voltage, as well as airline, hotel and cruise-line rules. Anker’s product introduction covers compatibility notes.
Is $39.99 still a good price?
The $36 figure came from the older Amazon promotion, which paired a $46 listed sale price with a $10 checkout coupon. The original report was published April 19, 2024. As of August 18, 2026, the latest official Anker listing identified for this article showed $39.99; an active Amazon coupon was not independently verified. At $39.99, the 525 remains a reasonable choice if you specifically want its three AC outlets and compact layout with modest USB-C charging. If the price rises materially above $40, compare newer or higher-output options before choosing it.

Troubleshooting and safe use
A USB-C laptop charges slowly
Disconnect other USB devices to free up shared output, use a cable rated for the required power, and compare the laptop’s charger wattage with what the station can supply. Heavy laptop workloads and lack of USB-C Power Delivery support can also affect charging.
