Home Depot’s official Labor Day promotion included a Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18V brushless two-tool kit for $399 with a free 5.0Ah battery, but that event ended September 9. Home Depot’s broader Tool Savings page uses generic free-battery headlines for select M18 and M12 tools; it does not confirm a specific qualifying model or an active offer date.
What was the confirmed Home Depot Milwaukee offer?
Home Depot’s nationwide Labor Day event ran from August 27 through September 9, 2026. Its highlighted Milwaukee deal was an M18 FUEL 18V brushless two-tool kit listed at $399 with a free 5.0Ah battery. Home Depot’s Labor Day announcement confirms the offer and its dates.
The $399 figure is the event’s listed price, not a verified savings amount. The announcement does not establish a comparison price for calculating a discount percentage.
Does the generic Tool Savings page mean a free battery deal is live now?
No. Home Depot’s Tool Savings category page displays general headlines about a free battery with select M18 tools and a free M12 battery with select M12 tools. The page information available for this check does not name the qualifying models or give current promotion dates, so those headlines alone do not verify an October 7 offer.

Other dated listings do not fill that gap: a Home Depot weekly circular item was valid September 24 through October 1, 2026, and a separate listing named an M12 FUEL 6-inch 12V pruning saw. Neither establishes an active free-gift promotion on October 7. Weekly circular Pruning saw listing
How to verify a Milwaukee free-gift offer before buying
Promotion banners can be broad, while the actual eligibility and terms depend on the specific item and offer window. Before checkout, confirm each of these on the current product or offer page:
- Qualifying SKU: Check the exact model number; a similar Milwaukee tool or another battery platform may not qualify.
- Bundle contents: Confirm whether the listing is tool-only, a kit, or a tool paired with a separate free battery, and identify the included battery model and capacity.
- Total price: Compare the amount due for the qualifying purchase, including any separately added gift item, rather than relying on a banner headline.
- Offer dates: Read the stated start and expiration dates. Do not assume a prior seasonal event has been extended.
- Availability: Check stock for the store or delivery location you plan to use.
- Returns: Review the current return terms for both the qualifying item and any free gift, including how a return may affect the promotion.
What this means for a fall 2026 purchase
The verified Home Depot offer was a dated Labor Day deal, not proof that the same bundle—or another Milwaukee free-tool or battery promotion—was available on October 7. Because the generic category page does not establish current eligibility or dates, treat a deal as live only when its current product page or dated offer terms confirm the SKU, gift, price, and expiration.
