The INKBIRD Wireless 4-in-1 Air Quality Monitor IAM-T1 measures carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature, relative humidity and air pressure. It connects to the INKBIRD app over Bluetooth 5.0, uses a high-contrast 2.13-inch e-ink display and runs on two replaceable AA batteries. Inkbird specifies CO2 accuracy of ±(30 ppm + 3% of the reading); that is a manufacturer specification, not an independent laboratory result.
What the Inkbird IAM-T1 measures
- CO2: A ventilation indicator that can show when occupied rooms need more outdoor air.
- Temperature: Useful for checking comfort and HVAC performance.
- Relative humidity: Helps identify conditions associated with condensation, dampness or overly dry air.
- Air pressure: Provides barometric pressure data rather than a pollutant concentration.
The IAM-T1 does not measure particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde or a calculated air-quality index.
Is the IAM-T1 accurate?
Inkbird lists a Swedish Senseair nondispersive infrared (NDIR) CO2 sensor with stated accuracy of ±(30 ppm + 3% of reading). For example, at a displayed 1,000 ppm, that specification corresponds to an allowable error of approximately ±60 ppm under the manufacturer’s stated conditions. Treat this as a specification for the device, not proof of performance in every room or a substitute for calibration and commissioning procedures.
No independent laboratory comparison is established here. For construction handover, schools, offices or other regulated work, use the project’s required instruments and verification method rather than relying on the IAM-T1 alone.

Connectivity, alerts and data history
Bluetooth connection
The monitor communicates with the INKBIRD app through Bluetooth 5.0. Inkbird states a maximum unobstructed range of 328 feet (100 meters); walls, plant rooms, steelwork and other obstructions can reduce usable range. Bluetooth means the monitor is intended for nearby phone access, not continuous internet monitoring from another location.
Sampling and offline storage
In the app, sampling can be set to 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes. The unit stores up to 30 days of data offline, which can be reviewed after the phone reconnects.

CO2 threshold alerts
You can set a custom CO2 threshold. When the threshold is exceeded, the display changes and the built-in buzzer alerts occupants or staff. Set the limit to match your ventilation policy; an alert is a prompt to investigate airflow, occupancy and sources, not a diagnosis of the cause.
Power and display
Two AA batteries power the IAM-T1. Inkbird rates battery life at up to 18 months when sampling every 10 minutes; shorter sampling intervals, frequent Bluetooth use, alert activity and battery chemistry can reduce runtime. Batteries are replaceable, so the monitor can be returned to service without waiting for an internal cell to recharge.

The 2.13-inch electronic-ink screen is designed for high contrast and wide viewing angles. It is suited to a room or site where readings should remain visible with very low display power, although it is smaller and less information-dense than a color panel.
Does it measure PM2.5?
No. The IAM-T1 has no PM2.5 or PM10 sensor. If fine-particle monitoring is required for dust control, renovation work, combustion sources or occupant health investigations, choose a model that explicitly lists particulate measurement.

Which model suits a construction or facilities job?
Choose the IAM-T1 when
- Your primary question is whether ventilation is adequate, using CO2 as the indicator.
- You want a compact, quiet display that can stay on a desk, in a meeting room or in a temporary site office.
- Replaceable batteries and long stated runtime matter more than remote access.
- Nearby Bluetooth retrieval and 30 days of stored readings are sufficient.
Choose the IAQM-129-W when
- You need PM2.5 or PM10 readings for dust and fine-particle checks.
- TVOC, HCHO or an AQI value is part of the brief.
- Managers need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access away from the monitor.
- A larger color display, light and sound alarms, or up to 12 months of app history and export is important.
Practical setup guidance
- Install two AA batteries and place the monitor at representative breathing height, away from supply-air outlets, open windows, direct sunlight and localized moisture.
- Pair it with the INKBIRD app over Bluetooth 5.0 and select a sampling interval. Use 10 minutes when conserving battery is the priority; use a shorter interval when you need faster trend visibility.
- Set a CO2 threshold based on the building’s ventilation plan, then confirm that the display and buzzer alert as expected.
- Record the room, date, occupancy and relevant HVAC state alongside exported readings. Those notes make a trend actionable during commissioning or defect investigation.
- If readings appear implausible, move the unit to a neutral location, check battery condition and compare with the project’s reference instrument before changing ventilation settings.
The Bottom Line
The IAM-T1 is a battery-powered, Bluetooth CO2-led monitor for local ventilation checks, with temperature, humidity and pressure added. It is not a PM2.5 monitor. Select the IAQM-129-W instead when particulate, VOC/formaldehyde coverage, Wi-Fi or long-term app history is required.
