MEED estimated the contract at SR800 million ($214 million). The reported scope includes terminal works as well as roads, parking, access controls, logistics and ground-support facilities.
Who won the contract?
According to MEED, the award went to a joint venture between RTCC and IC İçtaş. MEED identifies RTCC as Riyadh-based and IC İçtaş as Turkish. The award is for a private aviation terminal at King Salman International Airport in Riyadh.
The award details and contract value are attributable to MEED; no primary award notice from the airport developer is cited here.
What is the reported contract value?
MEED estimated the contract at SR800 million, equivalent to $214 million in its 5 October 2026 report. The figure is an estimate reported by MEED, not a separately confirmed price in an airport developer announcement.

What work does the contract cover?
The reported package extends beyond the terminal itself. MEED’s scope description includes site, access and operational infrastructure alongside building construction:
- A central courtyard and grand boulevard
- Parking facilities and access-control checkpoints
- Logistics and ground-support facilities
- Internal road networks and landscaping
- Civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works
- Testing, commissioning and handover
When will construction start or finish?
MEED’s report does not state a construction start date or completion date. No delivery schedule can be established from the reported award details.

How does the terminal fit into the airport project?
MEED describes the wider King Salman International Airport project as covering about 57 square kilometres, with a masterplan allowing for six parallel runways. The airport’s stated ambition is to accommodate up to 100 million passengers by 2030. These are masterplan and target figures; they do not mean that the runways or that passenger capacity are already in service.

No. The private aviation terminal award is for King Salman International Airport. Separately, IC İçtaş’s project page lists RTCC and IC İçtaş as the joint-venture contractor for EPC work on terminal projects at King Khalid International Airport, also in Riyadh. That earlier airport work is separate from the contract reported by MEED.
