To set the clock on an LG ThinQ range, use the instructions for your exact model: button sequences differ. Find the model number and open its manual through LG product support. For two representative models, LG’s procedures use Cook Time to enter clock setting and Start to confirm; other panels may have a dedicated Clock button.
Identify your range before changing the clock
ThinQ refers to LG’s smart-appliance features; it does not identify one universal control panel or clock-setting sequence. Check the model number on the appliance and use the matching manual from LG’s product support pages. The examples below apply only to the models described.

LG’s dual-fuel tutorial shows this procedure. Its panel and display differ from the LSE4617 example, and other models may differ too.

A flashing clock or PF indication can appear when a range is first plugged in or after household power is interrupted. LG says these indicators alone do not mean the range is malfunctioning. The steps for clearing PF vary by model and may involve cooktop controls and Clear Off; follow the procedure for your panel in the LG PF and flashing-clock guidance. If the time needs resetting, press Clock and set it again as directed for your model.
In an LG manual for a different range family, Clock/Lockout sets the time of day, +/− changes values, and Start begins range features. That manual says a flashing colon can be stopped by touching Clock and resetting the time, or by touching any key. Treat that as guidance only for models covered by that manual, available through LG product support.
Choose 24-hour time, if your model supports it
LG’s LSE4617 and dual-fuel tutorials show this sequence for changing the hour mode:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Press and hold Start Time for three seconds.
- Use + or − to choose the hour mode.
- Press Start to accept the choice.
- Reset the time to confirm the 24-hour mode change.
These steps are documented for those tutorial models, not every ThinQ range. Check the exact model’s manual before trying them.
Quick Recap
Avoid common clock-setting mistakes
- Do not treat ThinQ as a model number. Use the appliance’s exact model to find the applicable instructions.
- Do not confuse the timer with the clock. The LG manual excerpt identifies Timer On/Off and Clock/Lockout as separate controls.
- Do not assume PF or a flashing clock means a fault. LG associates these indications with first plug-in or a power interruption; follow the model-specific clearing steps.
- Do not buy a separate timer or replacement control just to reset the time. The cited LG procedures use the range’s controls.
