Do not rely on a generic video or another model’s teardown instructions just because the controls or glass look alike. The correct removal, isolation, fastening, reconnection, and testing steps have not been established for an unspecified range.
Step 4: Verify the complete replacement assembly
Search for a cooktop or main-top assembly using the exact model number. Before buying, confirm the manufacturer part number and assembly description, and make sure your full model code appears in the seller’s compatibility information. For example, PartSelect identifies DG94-00735C as a Samsung main-top assembly and lists compatible models. That is an example for the models shown on its listing, not a universal Samsung replacement. Step 5: Decide whether to DIY or book a repair
Replacing a range’s glass top involves disassembly and electrical components.
