You can connect a Roborock S7 to Google Assistant through the Google Home app, after setting up the robot in either the Roborock app or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home. Link the same manufacturer account you use for the S7, then assign the vacuum to a home and room in Google Home. Roborock documents both app routes, but the available voice controls may vary. Before you start
- Make sure the S7 is powered on, charged and online in the app that currently controls it.
- Have the login for that Roborock or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home account ready. Do not add the robot to a second manufacturer app just to link Google Home.
- Install Google Home and sign in to the Google account and household where you want the vacuum to appear.
- A Google Home or Nest speaker/display is optional. You can use another Assistant-enabled device, such as a phone, for voice commands; the S7 does not receive โHey Googleโ itself.

Connect an S7 set up in the Roborock app
- Open the Roborock app and confirm the S7 appears online. Try a basic control, such as starting or stopping cleaning.
- Open Google Home and select the household where you want to add the vacuum.
- Tap Add, then Device, and choose the option to add or link a third-party service, often labelled Works with Google Home. Google notes that the setup flow can vary by device and manufacturer app. (Googleโs third-party device setup guidance)
- Search for Roborock and select the matching service.
- Sign in with the same Roborock account that contains the S7 and approve the requested access.
- Wait for Google Home to find the robot. Assign it to the correct home and room, then give it a short, distinct name such as โDownstairs vacuum.โ Google recommends clear device names because they are used in voice commands. (Google device naming guidance)
- Try a basic voice command from an Assistant-enabled phone, speaker or display.
Roborock provides a Google Home guide for Roborock-app users. Googleโs menu labels may shift between app versions, operating systems and regions, so look for the third-party service-linking option if the wording differs.

Connect an S7 set up in Mi Home or Xiaomi Home
Use this route if Mi Home/Xiaomi Home is the app that currently controls your S7. In Google Home, follow the same add-device flow, but search for and select the Mi Home or Xiaomi Home service that matches the app and account you use. Sign in to that account, authorize the link, and assign the discovered S7 to a home and room. Roborock publishes a Mi Home-specific setup guide; its broader Google Home instructions cover both app ecosystems.

Do not change the Mi Home region casually if the S7 is missing. Device visibility can depend on the account and selected region, and changing regions may affect access to devices or settings.

These are example phrasings, not a guaranteed command list. Use the name you assigned in Google Home, and try a simple action first; accepted wording can depend on the integration, language, region and software versions.

Room- or zone-specific cleaning, mapping, schedules, suction settings, water flow and mop preferences may remain in the Roborock or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, or may vary with the integration and region. Google Home service linking is distinct from Googleโs Seamless Setup feature; do not expect the S7 to appear through Seamless Setup unless Google explicitly lists it as supported. (Googleโs Seamless Setup information)
Fix connection problems
The Roborock or Mi Home service is missing
- Check that you are in Google Homeโs add-device flow for compatible third-party services, rather than looking for an older Google Assistant โHome controlโ menu.
- Search for the service that matches the app controlling the S7: Roborock for the Roborock app, or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home for that ecosystem.
- Googleโs device setup flow can vary. Check its third-party setup guidance if your menu labels differ.
The service links, but the S7 does not appear
- Confirm the S7 is online and controllable in its manufacturer app.
- Check that you signed in to the manufacturer account that owns the robot and that the intended Google account and household are active.
- Consider whether the service was linked under another Google account or household already.
- Close and reopen both apps, then check Google Home again. If needed, unlink and relink the service using the correct account.
- For Mi Home, verify the accountโs region and device visibility before changing any settings.
The S7 is offline in its manufacturer app
Repair the robotโs connection in the Roborock or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app before troubleshooting Google Home. Roborockโs S7 network connection guide covers the robotโs Wi-Fi connection. If the S7 cannot connect, its documentation advises resetting Wi-Fi and adding it again; button combinations and prompts can differ by hardware revision, so use the guide for your model rather than a generic button sequence. Google does not hear โHey Googleโ
First ask the speaker or phone a non-robot question. If it also fails to respond, check that the device is powered, connected to the expected Wi-Fi network and not muted. Google hears you, but the vacuum does nothing or the wrong device responds
- Use the exact S7 name shown in Google Home and try a basic command instead of a room-specific request.
- Check the S7โs online status in its manufacturer app, then try the action from its Google Home device tile if one is available.
- If Google selects another device, rename the S7 with a short, distinct name that does not resemble a speaker, light or another vacuum.
- If the service appears linked but cannot reach the robot, unlink and relink it after confirming the correct manufacturer account.
Only basic controls are available
That may be a limitation of the Google integration rather than a setup fault. Use the manufacturer app for maps and detailed cleaning preferences; the S7โs app features are not automatically exposed through Google Home.

Unlink or reconnect the S7
To refresh a broken link, remove the Roborock or Mi Home/Xiaomi Home service from Google Homeโs linked third-party services, then add it again using the account that controls the S7. The exact settings path can change by Google Home version. Removing the Google link is separate from removing the robot from its manufacturer app; leave the S7 in that app unless you intend to reset or transfer it. Before selling or transferring the robot, unlink the service and review who in the Google household can control it.
