Choose the configuration that fits your setup
Fixed or adjustable
A fixed rod may suit an opening that matches its stated length. Moen lists fixed curved options for 5-foot tubs. Adjustable rods offer a stated range instead: Moen’s CSR2160 / CSR2164 family is listed at 60–72 inches, and the product page says the bar needs no cutting. That feature is specific to the listed model, not a general rule for adjustable rods. Follow the individual product instructions for fitting and installation.

Single or double curve
A single rod holds a curtain and liner together. A double-curved rod provides separate tracks, which can let the decorative curtain and liner move independently. Moen describes this as a use for double rods. Kingston Brass lists its CCD2177 as an adjustable double-curved model for 60–72-inch enclosures, with mounting hardware and installation instructions included.
What a curve does—and what it does not prove
Moen says its curved rods “provide extra elbow room in the shower.” That is the manufacturer’s stated benefit; the available product information does not quantify how much space a curve adds or establish an independent measurement. Consider the room around your tub and shower, but treat the amount of added space as dependent on the rod’s design and placement.

Specifications and claims vary by model, so check the product listing and installation instructions rather than assuming a feature applies to every curved rod. Before buying, verify:
- Fit: the opening width and the rod’s stated fixed length or adjustment range.
- Curtain compatibility: whether the listed curtain dimensions suit your setup.
- Mounting: the mounting arrangement, included hardware, and suitability for your wall conditions.
- Finish and corrosion statement: the exact finish and any corrosion-resistance claim for that model.
- Warranty: the warranty stated for the specific product.
- Installation: whether cutting or other preparation is required, as described in the model instructions.
A consumer’s wish for a rod that will not rust and has metal strength is understandable, but those qualities cannot be inferred from appearance or category alone.
