You can personalize certain Victorinox Swiss Army knives online, but that is not the same as freely choosing every internal tool. Victorinox’s documented online process starts with an eligible model and offers the options available for that knife and market. Guided, hands-on assembly is a separate option at least at Victorinox’s Geneva flagship store.
What “custom” means for a Swiss Army knife
In Victorinox’s official online flow, customization means selecting from the options offered for an eligible finished model—for example, a scale choice where available and engraving. Victorinox’s general personalization descriptions also mention interior layouts and add-ons, but those descriptions do not establish that every pocket knife can be rebuilt with any combination of tools.
If choosing the exact tool set is your priority, start with the model’s listed tools and verify whether the current product page or configurator offers a different layout. Do not assume that a personalization menu is a fully modular tool builder.

- Choose an eligible model. Start with Victorinox’s current personalized pocket-knife product list or configurator for your market. Only certain models are eligible.
- Select a scale, if offered. The Swiss-market instructions say scale selection does not apply to knives with wood scales. Other options also vary by model.
- Choose engraving, if available. Review the available personalization choices and any displayed preview carefully before proceeding.
- Complete the purchase. Check the local terms for personalized products before ordering; the Swiss-market page says personalized knives cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged, while retaining rights for defective or incorrectly supplied items.

Choose the base model for its documented tool set, then check that exact model in the current market-specific product page or configurator. Compare the listed tools with the tasks you expect to do; do not infer that engraving or a scale choice changes the knife’s internal layout. If a different interior layout or add-on is important, confirm that it is actually offered for the model and market before placing an order.
For an existing knife, Victorinox’s Swiss-market FAQ says service options may vary and recommends checking services for the model or contacting customer service. Availability of a service for one knife does not establish that every existing knife can be reconfigured.
