If your Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer displays F1, the cited DishDrawer owner manual identifies it as flood-switch activation and directs you to turn off the water and power, then contact an authorized service center. Do not treat it as a code to clear by repeatedly resetting the dishwasher. First confirm that your appliance is a DishDrawer and that the instructions match its exact model.
What F1 means on a DishDrawer
The DishDrawer owner manual’s fault table defines F1 as “Flood switch has been activated.” Its instruction is to shut off the water and power supply and contact an authorized service center. The manual is hosted by Sears PartsDirect, so use it as guidance for the model family it covers—not as a universal instruction for every Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. Confirm the model before acting
Fisher & Paykel dishwashers do not all use the same fault codes or instructions. The official DW60 user guides found here use different labels for flooding: one lists F30 for flooding or flood-switch activation, while an older guide lists E30. - Check whether the appliance is a DishDrawer or a full-size DW60 dishwasher.
- Record the full model number from the appliance identification label.

What to do when a DishDrawer shows F1
- Turn off the water and power supply. This is the action specified in the cited DishDrawer manual for F1. If you cannot safely isolate either supply, contact an authorized service provider for help rather than attempting repairs.

- Leave diagnosis and repair to service personnel. The manual directs the owner to contact an authorized service center; it does not provide a consumer repair or reset procedure for F1.
Why a reset is not the recommended fix
Fisher & Paykel’s general DW60 guide says some F faults can be cleared using model-specific reset steps and advises contacting Customer Care if a code persists. That general guidance concerns a different dishwasher family and does not override the DishDrawer manual’s specific F1 direction to isolate water and power and call service.
