Para hacer un embudo de papel rápido, enrolla un triángulo de papel hasta formar un cono y corta un poco la punta estrecha para abrir la salida. Si necesitas un cono decorativo que conserve su forma, usa una plantilla con pestaña para pegar.
Cómo hacer un embudo de papel rápido
Este método sirve para dirigir materiales secos, como semillas, a una abertura pequeña. La Secretaría de Educación Pública de México propone formar un cono con un triángulo de papel reutilizado en la actividad “El hábitat en laberinto” de Proyectos Comunitarios.

Materiales
- Un triángulo de papel reutilizado que puedas enrollar.
- Tijeras.
- Cinta adhesiva, si quieres mantener cerrado el solape.
Pasos
- Dobla una esquina del triángulo y empieza a enrollar el papel sobre sí mismo.
- Ajusta el enrollado hasta obtener un cono. Superpón los bordes lo suficiente para que la forma no se abra.
- Recorta con cuidado el extremo más estrecho para crear la salida. Empieza con un corte pequeño y amplíalo si necesitas una abertura mayor.
- Sujeta el solape con la mano mientras trasvasas. Para dejar el cono cerrado, fija el borde con un trozo pequeño de cinta adhesiva.
La guía escolar muestra el enrollado y el corte de la punta; el uso de cinta es una opción práctica para sujetar el borde.

Cómo hacer un cono de papel decorativo
Para un cono más regular, por ejemplo para una manualidad, dibuja una plantilla curva del tamaño necesario y añade una pestaña para unir los bordes. La guía de Leroy Merlin España recomienda adaptar el cono al objeto que contendrá; las medidas de su ejemplo no son universales.

Montaje con plantilla
- Mide el objeto que quieres sostener y decide la altura y anchura aproximadas del cono.
- Dibuja una plantilla curva e incorpora una pestaña de unión en uno de los bordes.
- Recorta la plantilla y envuélvela para comprobar que el cono tiene el tamaño y la forma deseados.
- Pega la pestaña para cerrar el cono.
Si el papel es demasiado fino para sostener la forma, pega el recorte sobre cartulina antes de montarlo. Para conos grandes o más firmes, el papel kraft es otra posibilidad: Canson lo describe como económico y resistente, y señala que conviene elegir materiales flexibles que conserven los pliegues. Consulta sus recomendaciones sobre cómo elegir papel para plegado.
Qué papel elegir
- Para una tarea breve: el papel reutilizado basta para formar el embudo sencillo.
- Para un cono firme o grande: considera papel kraft, o refuerza un papel fino con cartulina.
- Para una forma decorativa: comprueba que el papel se pueda curvar y que el cono mantenga su forma una vez unido.
La elección depende del tamaño del cono, de cuánto peso debe sostener y de si importa más la rapidez o el acabado. No hace falta comprar material especial para probar el método básico.

Embudo de papel y filtro de papel no son lo mismo
El cono sencillo dirige semillas u otros materiales secos; no hay que asumir que es resistente a líquidos. Para filtrar una mezcla se usa papel filtro colocado dentro de un embudo y se vierte lentamente. El recurso educativo del INTEF sobre filtración explica que el filtro retiene partículas mayores que sus poros, pero no elimina sustancias muy pequeñas que estén disueltas. Por eso, un cono de papel común no purifica agua ni sustituye un filtro adecuado.
