The accessible English full sheet identified in the records is for the B component, dated 8 November 2017. A separate secondary listing reports a 21 June 2023 revision under product code L3.4623.01.C.EN. The available records do not establish that these are the same component or formulation, so their hazard classifications must not be combined.
How to find the SDS that applies to your container
- Read the container label. Note the full product name, component designation, product or article code, and any country or language information.
- Check the SDS identification and revision. Compare its product identifier and component with the label, then check the revision date and country-specific information.
- Use the matching current document. Obtain the latest component-specific SDS from Bolidt or the supplier. If the label and sheet do not match, or you cannot confirm that they do, ask the supplier before handling the material.
- Keep the matching sheet accessible at the worksite. Workers and supervisors need the applicable information for the actual material and task.
The accessible 2017 English sheet is titled “BOLIDT PRIMER PU/LP 2580 B COMPONENT” and states that it was prepared according to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Article 31. The ISDSS secondary listing reports product code L3.4623.01.C.EN, revision date 21 June 2023, signal word WARNING, and hazard statements H226 and H336. Those details alone do not show that the listing covers the B component or the same formulation. Do not use either record as a substitute for confirming the current sheet for the container in hand. Hazards stated in the 2017 B-component sheet
The 8 November 2017 B-component SDS identifies the product as a mixture and lists diphenylmethanediisocyanate isomers and homologues at 50–100% in Section 3. Its classifications and hazard statements are specific to that dated sheet:
- H332: Harmful if inhaled.
- H315: Causes skin irritation.
- H319: Causes serious eye irritation.
- H334: May cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled.
- H317: May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- H351: Suspected of causing cancer.
- H335: May cause respiratory irritation.
- H373: May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure.
These are not classifications to apply automatically to the differently coded 2023 listing or to every product component. Read the current SDS for the exact material before setting site controls or communicating hazards.

Handling and personal protective equipment
The historical B-component sheet calls for good workplace ventilation or exhaust, avoidance of breathing dust, fume, gas, mist, vapours or spray, and protective gloves, clothing, and eye or face protection. It specifies respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate. These are instructions from the 2017 sheet, not confirmation of current requirements for another component or revision.
- Gloves: The sheet names nitrile rubber (NBR) and requires gloves to be impermeable and resistant to the product. It says to obtain the exact breakthrough time from the glove manufacturer and observe it. Do not select gloves by material name alone; verify compatibility and breakthrough data against the current SDS and the work conditions.
- Eye protection: It calls for tightly sealed goggles. Confirm the applicable equipment in the current sheet and site assessment.
- Respiratory protection: The sheet specifies it when ventilation is inadequate. The appropriate protection depends on the current product information, task, and exposure assessment; the 2017 sheet does not support a general respirator or cartridge recommendation.
The sheet gives Great Britain workplace exposure limits for MDI isomers and homologues of 0.02 mg/m³ long-term and 0.07 mg/m³ short-term, noted as “sen” and “as -NCO.” These are figures printed in the 2017 document, not confirmation of current legal limits. Check current local requirements and the applicable SDS.

First aid, spills, storage, and disposal
Use the current component-specific SDS and local emergency procedures for incidents. The 2017 B-component sheet includes these instructions and precautions:
- Eyes: Its precautionary statement P305+P351+P338 says to rinse cautiously with water, remove contact lenses if easy to do, and continue rinsing.
- Respiratory symptoms: P342+P311 says to call a poison centre or doctor if experiencing respiratory symptoms.
- Spills: Ensure adequate ventilation, prevent entry to sewage or water, and absorb with liquid-binding material such as sand, diatomite, universal binders, or sawdust. Dispose of contaminated material under the applicable disposal instructions.
- Storage: Keep the container tightly sealed.
- Disposal: The sheet says not to put the product in household garbage or release it to sewage, and to dispose of uncleaned packaging according to official regulations. Follow current local rules and the applicable SDS.
Is Bolidt Primer PU/LP 2580 dangerous goods for transport?
The 2017 B-component SDS marks the ADR, ADN, IMDG, and IATA entries for UN number, proper shipping name, class, and packing group as “Void” and says the product is not dangerous under those specifications. This is a historical statement about that identified component and sheet. Check the current SDS and the circumstances and rules applying to the shipment before classifying or transporting a container.

An SDS is not a task-based risk assessment
An SDS describes product hazards and provides handling and emergency information; it does not by itself assess exposure for a particular construction task. Work method, ventilation, application technique, quantity, duration, nearby workers, and site conditions affect the controls needed. The ISDSS listing distinguishes its SDS-derived Chemical Risk Assessment from a task-based assessment and describes it as a starting point.
