Price check: August 16, 2026. Ring’s US offers page lists a Wired Doorbell Pro with Indoor Cam Plus for $219.99, compared with a displayed $349.98, and a Battery Doorbell plus Floodlight Cam Plus bundle for about $169.99–$179.99, depending on configuration. The best buy depends on whether you can use existing wiring and whether you actually want the bundle’s second device. These offers can change; confirm the model, retailer, stock, and checkout price before buying.

For a flexible, renter-friendly installation, look at the Battery Doorbell Plus when it is near $100–$120. For compatible existing wiring, the Wired Doorbell Pro bundle is compelling if you will use the Indoor Cam Plus. Current offers are listed at Ring’s offers page; the early-August Amazon sale benchmarks were reported by 9to5Toys.

Which Ring deal is right for your home?

Best flexible-installation value: Battery Doorbell Plus

The current Battery Doorbell Plus is a Retinal 2K battery model. It is a practical middle ground for a home without usable doorbell wiring: sharper video and a taller view intended to help with package visibility than the standard Battery Doorbell, without the Battery Doorbell Pro’s premium positioning. Ring’s retailer-facing lineup showed prices beginning around $129.99 for configurations in the August 2026 snapshot, while reported promotions reached about $120 in early August and $99.99 during a 2026 Prime event. Treat those sale prices as benchmarks, not live guarantees. Ring’s retailer-facing lineup and TechRadar’s second-generation review identify the Plus as a 2K model.

#1 Best Overall
Ring Battery Doorbell 2K (newest model) Retinal 2K with wide-angle video, up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, Two-Way Talk, and Built-In Battery, Matte Mocha
  • Capture it all with Retinal 2K video — From wide views to tighter focus, it’s easy to see your home or business in crisp clarity with Retinal 2K.
  • Zoom in up to 6x — Catch details at a distance, inspect faces, and more with up to 6x Enhanced Zoom.
  • Connect to who’s there — See, hear, and speak in real time with Live View and Two-Way Talk.
  • Get real-time alerts — Receive real-time notifications on your phone when motion is detected.
  • Easily recharge — Simply insert the included removal tool to detach your doorbell from the wall, then recharge the built-in battery via USB-C. (Cable not included.)

Buy around $100–$120 if you want a battery unit with better package coverage and accept charging and subscription trade-offs. If it is near its listed price and you do not need 2K detail, consider the standard Battery Doorbell instead.

Best cheap doorbell: Standard Battery Doorbell

The standard Battery Doorbell is the entry point for basic alerts, live view, and two-way talk. Ring’s lineup snapshot places the range near the $99.99 list-price level, but exact model and configuration prices vary. It suits renters and smaller entrances where basic visitor alerts matter more than the best video detail. Choose it when the lower purchase price matters more than the Plus model’s image and package-view upgrades.

Best wired bundle: Wired Doorbell Pro with Indoor Cam Plus

Ring’s August 16, 2026 offers page listed the bundle at $219.99 against a displayed $349.98 comparison price. That is a meaningful-looking offer, but its value depends on using both products: compare the total with the current standalone prices, not just the displayed comparison figure. The wired doorbell also needs compatible low-voltage wiring; it is not automatically a simple replacement in every home. Ring’s Wired Doorbell Pro page describes the current model and subscription-enabled recording and recognition features.

Rank #2
Ring Battery Doorbell 2K (newest model) Retinal 2K with wide-angle video, up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, Two-Way Talk, and Built-In Battery, Speckled Gray

Buy the bundle if you need a camera indoors and have compatible wiring. If you do not need indoor coverage, do not count an unwanted camera as savings; wait for a doorbell-only offer or compare standalone prices.

Best premium battery: Battery Doorbell Pro

Ring and Amazon describe the newer Battery Doorbell Pro as a Retinal 4K option that does not require hardwiring. Ring’s observed catalog price was about $249.99. It can make sense where detailed views and premium motion features solve a real need but wiring is unavailable. For a small, well-lit porch where the camera is close to visitors, the price premium over the Plus may be difficult to justify. The 4K label is Ring’s product terminology, not a guarantee of identification quality at every distance or in every lighting condition. Ring Battery Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen) and Amazon’s product announcement.

Best specialized installation: Wired Doorbell 4K Elite

The Wired Doorbell 4K Elite is a PoE model. Ring’s observed catalog snapshot listed it at $349.99, compared with a displayed $499.99. PoE carries power and network connectivity over Ethernet, so this model is best for a home or project already planned around that infrastructure—not a typical swap for a battery doorbell or conventional wired chime. Rank #3
Ring Wired Doorbell 4K Pro (Newest Model), Retinal 4K with wide-angle video, 10x Enhanced Zoom, and Night Vision, Deep Silver
  • Capture it all with Retinal 4K video — See your home or business in the ultimate clarity with Retinal 4K.
  • Zoom in up to 10x — Catch details at a distance with up to 10x Enhanced Zoom.
  • See, hear and speak to visitors on camera — With Live View & Two-Way Talk with Audio+, you’ll be able to interact with who’s there in real time, right from your phone.
  • Tailored detection for more exact alerts — 3D Motion Detection pinpoints motion on your property so you’ll receive more precise alerts and fewer interruptions.
  • True color, even in low light — With Low-Light Sight, just a little ambient light gives you true color video. In total darkness, your camera switches to crisp black-and-white to keep details sharp.

Best doorbell-plus-outdoor-camera bundle

The Battery Doorbell and Floodlight Cam Plus bundle appeared around $169.99–$179.99 on Ring’s offers page, depending on configuration, on August 16, 2026. It may be attractive if you need both a front-door view and a separately lit outdoor area. Before buying, price each device separately at current prices and consider whether the floodlight camera can be installed where it will provide useful coverage.

Battery or wired: choose for the installation, not just the discount

  • No existing wiring or a rental: A battery model avoids relying on doorbell wiring. A compatible no-drill mount may help avoid permanent holes; check the mount’s fit and the property owner’s rules.
  • Existing compatible wiring: A wired model avoids routine battery charging and suits a permanent, high-traffic entrance. Check the required voltage and transformer capacity before ordering.
  • Frequent activity or inconvenient charging: Favor a wired model if your wiring supports it. Battery runtime is not a fixed guarantee: temperature, motion volume, Wi-Fi strength, and Live View use can affect how often charging is needed.
  • Wiring is old, weak, or uncertain: Do not assume a wired doorbell is ready to install. Ring’s Wired Doorbell Plus listing specifies 16–24VAC/10–40VA requirements and recommends 30–40VA for optimal performance on that configuration; check the exact model’s requirements, since they may differ. Wired Doorbell Plus power details.

Ring says professional installation starts at $129.99 per device, with final pricing varying by device and job. The stated service includes mounting, wiring, removal of an existing device, configuration, and hands-on training; modifications to existing wiring cost extra. Include that cost when comparing a wired deal with a battery model you can mount yourself. Ring installation recommendations and Ring installation information.

Ring Protect: include recording in the real price

A Ring doorbell can be used without a Ring Protect plan, but Ring says cloud video history and features such as smart alerts and Doorbell Calls are among the plan benefits. If you need to review footage after a delivery or incident, confirm that the plan you choose supports the recording and alert features you want. Prices below are US prices observed on Ring’s plan page; tax may apply.

Plan Monthly Annual Coverage and doorbell relevance
Ring Solo $4.99 $49.99 One doorbell or camera
Ring Multi $9.99 $99.99 All devices at one location; may suit a household with several Ring products
Ring Pro $19.99 $199.99 All devices at one location, with advanced intelligence and professional monitoring features

Ring says relevant plans include up to 180 days of event history and smart person, package, and vehicle alerts; eligibility depends on the plan and compatible device. A 30-day Protect trial begins when a device is first set up unless the location already has an active Ring subscription. If the trial ends without a plan, stored recordings may no longer be available. Check Ring’s current plan details before relying on a particular feature.

Example ownership totals before tax

  • A $99 doorbell plus one year of Solo at $49.99 is about $148.99.
  • A $99 doorbell plus one year of Multi at $99.99 is about $198.99; Multi covers devices at one location, so it may make more sense if you already have other Ring equipment.
  • A $200 doorbell plus three years of Solo at $49.99 per year is about $349.97, before accessories and installation.

These examples use the plan prices in Ring’s US snapshot and assume the subscription remains at those prices. They exclude tax and do not imply that a plan is required for basic live viewing. Ring announced the change from Ring Home plan names to Ring Protect in 2026; use the current names when comparing offers. Ring’s plan-name announcement.

A low device price can leave out items that matter to your setup. Verify the exact package contents and compatibility rather than assuming an advertised doorbell is ready for every entrance.

Best Value
Orbitell 1080p Wireless Wi-Fi Video Doorbell Camera with Two Way Audio, Night Vision, Cloud Storage, Smart AI Motion Detection, Support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only
  • AI-Powered Smart Detection: Advanced AI technology accurately identifies people while filtering out vehicles and animals, so you only get the alerts that matter most
  • Secure Cloud Storage: Protect your recordings with AES-128 encrypted cloud storage
  • Pre-Capture Recording: Cloud subscribers benefit from pre-capture functionality, ensuring the camera starts recording right at the moment motion begins - never miss a thing
  • Reliable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Connection: Optimized for 2.4GHz networks to deliver stable, uninterrupted performance. (Not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi.)
  • Exceptional Night Vision: Equipped with four powerful infrared LEDs and an advanced image sensor, providing sharp, detailed footage even in total darkness
  • Indoor chime: Phone alerts are not an audible signal throughout the home. Check whether the bundle includes a Chime or whether a compatible Alexa device can provide the indoor alert you want.
  • Battery charging: Check whether the battery is included and whether a spare battery, charging cable, or charging station would help you avoid downtime.
  • Mounting and angle: A renter may need a compatible no-drill mount; an obstructed or angled doorway may need a wedge or corner kit. Verify compatibility with the precise doorbell generation.
  • Wired power: A transformer or plug-in power component may be separate for some configurations. Ring’s Wired Doorbell Plus page lists its power requirements and notes that certain components may not be included. Check its power and package details.
  • Solar accessories: Consider only a solar accessory listed as compatible with the specific model; do not assume it is included or that it suits every installation.

How to tell a genuine deal from a headline discount

  • Match the exact generation. Ring product names can persist across refreshed models. Compare the current model name, generation, power type, resolution, and included features—not shorthand such as “Plus” or “Pro.” Ring’s battery-doorbell comparison and current product lineup help distinguish specifications.
  • Compare current standalone prices for bundles. A displayed original price is not enough to establish that a bundle beats buying the items separately.
  • Count the features you will use. 2K or 4K detail, wider views, color night vision, pre-roll, radar or 3D motion detection, and dual-band Wi-Fi can be useful—but only when the entrance, network, and subscription needs justify them.
  • Account for ownership costs. Add any plan, mount, chime, spare battery, transformer work, or professional installation you actually need.
  • Check retailer terms. Price, stock, color, membership conditions, return window, and included trial can differ between Ring and other sellers. The cited sale reports establish past promotions, not current availability.

Buy now or wait?

  • Buy now if the exact model you want is near a strong recent benchmark—about $100 for Battery Doorbell Plus, about $120 as a recent early-August sale, or about $200 for Wired Doorbell Pro—and you need it. These are editorial benchmarks based on reported promotions, not guaranteed future prices.
  • Wait if a model is close to list price, you are not in a hurry, and a major retail event is approaching. Ring discounts and bundle configurations change frequently.
  • Choose the less expensive model if Pro resolution or advanced motion features will not solve a specific problem at your doorway.
  • Take the bundle only when both devices earn their place. Otherwise compare the doorbell alone with current standalone pricing.

When another ecosystem may fit better

If you already use Google Home, compare Google Nest doorbells before committing to Ring’s ecosystem. If local storage and avoiding recurring cloud costs are your priorities, Eufy may be worth considering. Blink is another lower-cost Amazon-family option, but it is not a substitute for every Ring feature or integration. These are alternatives, not Ring deals: Google Store, Eufy, and Blink.

Ring is part of Amazon’s device ecosystem. Anyone deciding where to place a camera should consider how cloud-stored footage, account access, and views of shared or public areas fit their privacy expectations; review Ring’s current privacy information before installation.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
