The announced tool set includes a multi-gripper, a trimmer head, and an edging-disc head. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not independently verified performance results. The available coverage does not establish how accurately the arm identifies objects, how much weight it can lift, or how reliably it works on uneven or wet ground. NexLawn’s IFA announcement supplies the use cases and attachment details.
Dimensions and reach
NexLawn announced the following design figures:
- Chassis height: 25 cm
- Folded arm: 44.5 cm
- Extended arm: 77 cm
- Approximate total reach: 1 meter from the ground
These are announced specifications rather than measurements from an independent test. A one-meter reach also does not mean the arm can manipulate objects one meter away in every direction or at full extension. Payload capacity, arm speed, joint strength, and operating limits have not been provided.
Why was it called “Best of IFA 2025”?
“Best of IFA 2025” refers here to an editorial selection by Android Headlines. It was not identified in the available coverage as an official award from the IFA organizers. The concept stood out because its interchangeable robotic tools suggested a broader role than simply cutting grass.

What remains unknown?
The Master X Vision’s most interesting features are also the least substantiated. The available announcement does not provide confirmed details about:
- Price or launch date
- Battery capacity, charging time, or runtime
- Maximum payload and object size
- Weather resistance and water protection
- Safety certifications or pet and child safeguards
- Replacement-tool pricing or serviceability
- App features, connectivity, software updates, or subscriptions
- The exact sensor and navigation package
NexLawn discusses 3D LiDAR, stereo vision, mapping, obstacle detection, and related navigation features for the VIDAR and VIDAR AWD lines in its release. Those specifications should not automatically be transferred to the Master X Vision, which has not received an equivalent published technical sheet.
Could the concept be useful?
The idea is compelling because it attempts to combine mowing, debris removal, trimming, edging, and light object handling in one machine. In practice, its value would depend on details that have not been demonstrated publicly in the available sources.

Debris and object recognition
The mower would need to distinguish a branch from a rock, toy, or patch of grass. It would also need to remove objects without throwing them toward people, pets, vehicles, or windows.
Arm precision
Sticks may be wet, irregular, embedded in grass, or too heavy for the gripper. Weeding is harder than trimming because roots may be firmly embedded and desirable plants may be close by. Fruit picking would require accurate recognition, suitable grip force, and careful handling.
Safety and maintenance
A moving arm combined with mower blades creates more safety concerns than a conventional robotic mower. “Fetch” should be regarded as a showcase scenario, not evidence that the machine is safe to operate around pets. More joints, attachments, and moving parts could also mean more maintenance, especially around mud, grass clippings, jammed tools, and water ingress.

What can buyers consider instead?
Readers who want a NexLawn robotic mower they can investigate today should look at the current VIDAR, VIDAR AWD, and NAVIA AWD families. These are conventional robotic-mower platforms in the current catalog and do not include the Master X Vision’s robotic arm, debris-handling tools, fruit-picking concept, or fetch function.
Before buying, confirm regional pricing, fulfillment, mapping requirements, service coverage, replacement parts, and current specifications directly with NexLawn. Readers specifically seeking automated weeding, object pickup, or multi-tool arm functionality should not treat these models as substitutes for the concept.
Verdict
The Master X Vision is one of IFA 2025’s more imaginative lawn-care concepts: a robotic mower intended to become a general-purpose yard assistant. Its announced arm, interchangeable tools, and approximately one-meter reach explain why it attracted attention. But the available evidence does not establish real-world performance, safety testing, pricing, or a release plan.
