What the LTV-3500 Pro offers
The LTV-3500 Pro is AWOL Vision’s premium LTV-family ultra-short-throw projector. ProjectorCentral lists a 3840 × 2160 resolution, 3,000 ISO lumens, a 0.25:1 throw ratio, an image range of 79.86 to 150.35 inches, and two 18W internal speakers. Yes. AWOL announced Dolby Vision certification for the LTV-3500 Pro, LTV-3500, LTV-3000 Pro and LTV-2500, with activation through an over-the-air firmware update announced for September 2023. Dolby Atmos audio
The projector’s built-in audio is a 36W, two-channel system, according to What Hi-Fi’s 2023 review. That review and TechRadar report Dolby Atmos decoding and DTS Virtual:X support. Decoding a surround format is not the same as reproducing sound from separate speakers placed around the room: the built-in system remains two-channel. Choosing a screen and planning the room
A UST-compatible ambient-light-rejecting (ALR) screen is a sensible option if the room has daylight or other uncontrolled light. What Hi-Fi discusses AWOL’s optional ALR screen alongside the projector. Match the screen to the projector’s ultra-short-throw geometry and intended image size; ProjectorCentral lists a range of 79.86 to 150.35 inches. How to get real 5.1.2 surround sound
For discrete surround, add external speakers. Is the LTV-3500 Pro worth considering?
It is a strong candidate for a large-image UST installation if Dolby Vision, a triple-laser light source and a compact projector position fit your priorities. Its two-channel speakers can serve a straightforward room, while a genuine 5.1.2 experience requires additional speakers. The practical decision is whether the projector, correctly sized UST screen and external audio—if wanted—fit both the room and the complete system budget.
