Anker announced the AC-equipped SOLIX C300 Portable Power Station on August 14, 2024. The US/Canada model combines a 288Wh LiFePO4 battery, three AC outlets, a 300W continuous inverter and multiple USB/DC outputs in a 9.1-pound unit. It launched alongside the lighter, DC-only SOLIX C300 DC.

The C300 remains listed on Anker’s US site as of August 18, 2026, but its original $189.99 pre-order price was a 2024 offer, not a verified current price. Check the official product page for current availability and pricing.

What Anker revealed

The SOLIX C300, model A1722 in Anker’s US documentation, is a compact portable power station for camping, travel, job-site electronics, short outages and other low-power applications. The important distinction is the AC inverter: unlike the SOLIX C300 DC, it can power equipment with conventional plugs.

“C300” does not mean the battery stores 300 watt-hours. Its battery capacity is 288Wh; the name mainly identifies its approximate output class.

Ports and output

Specification US C300
Battery 288Wh LiFePO4/LFP
AC output 300W continuous at 120V/60Hz
SurgePad Up to 600W, subject to device compatibility
AC outlets Three in the US/Canada version
USB-C Two outputs up to 140W; one output up to 15W
USB-A Up to 12W
Car/DC output 12V, 10A, up to 120W
Total output 360W in the current US support specification

See Anker’s US technical specification for the detailed ratings. Anker’s launch release also mentioned a 380W “TTL output” figure, but that should not be confused with the C300’s 300W AC limit. Similarly, the 600W SurgePad claim does not make this a 600W continuous inverter.

That makes the C300 suitable for phones, tablets, laptops, lights, routers, camera equipment and other modest loads. It is not designed for kettles, heaters, hair dryers, microwaves or other high-draw appliances. Check both a device’s normal wattage and its startup requirement: a refrigerator or compressor can exceed the station’s capability even when its running wattage appears below 300W.

Battery, charging and solar

The 288Wh LFP battery is compact and generally better suited to frequent cycling than many older battery chemistries. The available charging routes are:

  • AC wall charging;
  • USB-C PD charging through the bidirectional 140W port;
  • Vehicle charging through the 12V DC input; and
  • Solar charging at 11–28V, up to 100W.

Anker’s 2024 announcement claimed a full AC recharge in approximately 70 minutes. Its current product page separately claims 80% in 50 minutes, so these should be treated as different manufacturer claims rather than one guaranteed charging result.

  • 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴: Recharge to 80% in just 50 minutes with a wall outlet, or use solar panels, your car, or the PD 3.1 USB-C port. Stay charged, no matter where you are.

Anker recommends compatible 60W or 100W solar panels. The C300 is not compatible with the SOLIX PS30 or other 5V/3A USB-C solar panels. Solar and vehicle cables may be sold separately, and a panel’s rated wattage is an ideal maximum: shade, temperature, positioning and sun angle can substantially reduce charging power.

Size, controls and backup operation

The C300 measures 6.5 × 6.3 × 9.5 inches and weighs 9.1 pounds (4.13kg). A built-in handle, display and light bar make it practical to move around a vehicle, campsite or home, while an optional shoulder strap was announced at $29.99.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allow the Anker app to show charging status and adjust settings. App functionality can depend on account setup, connectivity, firmware and current app support. Anker’s US page lists a five-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Anker advertises 10ms backup switching and AC bypass mode. That makes the C300 potentially useful for a router, modem, laptop, light or some CPAP setups, but it is not a replacement for a whole-home UPS or generator. Transfer behavior can depend on firmware, load and power quality. Test sensitive equipment, including computers, NAS hardware and medical devices, before relying on it during an outage. CPAP users should also check actual machine consumption, humidifier settings and manufacturer guidance.

Rough runtime expectations

These are theoretical estimates before inverter losses, reserve limits, temperature effects and battery-management overhead—not test results:

Load Approximate theoretical time
10W 28.8 hours
30W 9.6 hours
60W 4.8 hours
100W 2.9 hours
300W AC load About 1 hour

Actual AC runtimes will be shorter because the inverter consumes power. USB-C and DC connections generally avoid some of those conversion losses, so connecting a USB-C laptop directly is usually more efficient than using its AC charger.

SOLIX C300 versus C300 DC

Feature SOLIX C300 SOLIX C300 DC
AC outlets Yes; three in US/Canada No
Battery 288Wh LFP 288Wh LFP
Output class 300W AC; up to 600W SurgePad 300W DC output class
Weight About 9.1lb About 6.18lb
Best fit AC equipment and UPS-style use USB-C, USB-A and 12V equipment

The C300 DC is about three pounds lighter because it omits the inverter and AC outlets. It may also avoid some inverter losses. Choose it when all your equipment uses USB or 12V connections. Choose the AC C300 when you need conventional plugs, AC bypass or the flexibility to run small AC devices.

Outlet configuration varies by region. The US/Canada version has three outlets; UK, EU and Australia versions may have two, along with different voltage and plug standards. Buyers outside North America should confirm the regional model before purchasing. The unit is also not automatically suitable for air travel: its 288Wh battery exceeds the commonly cited 100Wh carry-on threshold, so check the airline and applicable regulator rules.

Charging temperatures matter in cold conditions. Anker specifies discharge from −4°F to 104°F (−20°C to 40°C), but charging only from 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C).

Who should buy it?

The C300 is a sensible compact option for car camping, road trips, laptops, lights, networking equipment and short-duration backup of small loads. Its strongest advantage over the C300 DC is not extra battery capacity; it is AC compatibility and the added backup functionality.

It is a poor fit for whole-home backup, prolonged outages, high-wattage appliances or multi-day off-grid use. Anyone needing sustained loads above 300W should consider a larger power station. If AC outlets are unnecessary, the lighter C300 DC is the more logical choice.
