Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, 2026, and Amazon advertised up to 40% off select DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, and Bosch power tools—not a blanket 47% discount on DEWALT. Amazon separately listed a DEWALT 20V MAX brushless drill-and-impact-driver combo kit at up to 28% off. The “up to 47%” figure comes from Bob Vila’s event-day roundup, so check the live product listing for any specific tool’s current price, seller, stock, and package contents.
What the 47% claim means
Bob Vila’s October 6 roundup used “up to 47% off” in its headline and covered DEWALT saws, sanders, nailers, 20V MAX batteries, and accessories. Amazon’s own event page described up to 40% off select power tools from DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, and Bosch; its deal roundup specifically listed up to 28% off a DEWALT 20V MAX brushless drill-and-impact-driver combo kit. Those are different claims, and neither establishes that every DEWALT tool—or even a particular tool in Bob Vila’s roundup—was discounted by 47%. Amazon’s event overview and its event-day roundup provide the retailer’s stated figures.
Which kinds of DEWALT tools were included?
Bob Vila’s sale roundup covered several categories, including saws, sanders, nailers, batteries, and accessories, as well as a drill-and-impact-driver combo kit. That is a category roundup, not a complete or guaranteed-live inventory of Amazon listings. Individual offers can change or sell out during a time-limited event.
Drill and impact-driver combo
A drill is suited to drilling pilot holes and driving lighter screws; an impact driver is designed for fastening jobs such as longer screws and lag bolts. Bob Vila described its featured kit as including two batteries, a charger, and a carrying bag. However, the article lists the kit at $149 in its introduction and $138.99 in its itemized deal list. Because those prices conflict, neither should be treated as a verified current price. Amazon’s separate listing described a DEWALT 20V MAX brushless drill-and-impact-driver combo kit at up to 28% off; confirm the exact model and included items on the product page.

Saws, sanders, nailers, and batteries
These tools address different jobs, so a discount percentage alone does not show whether a listing is the right purchase. Check the model number, battery platform, included accessories, and whether the tool is sold as a bare tool or a kit. The roundup’s mention of a product category does not confirm that every model in it was discounted or remained available.

How to compare a deal with the tool you need
- Start with the job. Choose based on whether you need to drill, fasten, cut, sand, or do detail work; a combo kit is useful only if both tools suit your projects.
- Check battery compatibility. If you already own compatible DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, a bare tool may be more useful than a kit that duplicates batteries and a charger.
- Read the package contents. Verify whether the listing includes batteries, charger, bag, blades, or other accessories. Similar tool names can refer to different bundles.
- Match the model number and seller. Confirm the exact model on the product page, along with who sells it, who ships it, and whether the item is in stock.
- Review price history and the live price. Amazon says product pages provide up to 365 days of price history. Compare that record with the current listing rather than relying on a discount badge alone.
The cited roundups provide product and package examples, not a hands-on performance comparison across the sale tools. A discount label therefore cannot establish which tool performs best for a particular job.

Sale dates and availability

Its overview said the event spanned 22 countries, with dates varying by country, so these U.S. dates and deal details should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
