The Urban Park Studio packs a kitchen, living area, bathroom and loft bedroom into a reported 248 sq ft (23 sq m) of interior space. New Atlas describes the TruForm Tiny design as about 18 ft (5.5 m) long and intended for one or two people. Its space-saving plan relies on convertible furniture and a ladder-accessed loft—useful strategies, with real implications for day-to-day access and headroom.
What the reported 248 sq ft includes
In its November 14, 2024 feature, New Atlas reported that the Urban Park Studio has 248 sq ft (23 sq m) of interior area and is about 18 ft (5.5 m) long. The feature attributes the design to TruForm Tiny and says it is based on a triple-axle trailer. These are figures and descriptions from that report, not independently verified measurements.
The plan is organized into four functions: kitchen, living room, bathroom and one loft-style bedroom. The layout makes the short footprint workable by combining everyday living space with convertible furniture and moving the sleeping area above the main floor.
How the main-floor layout works
Kitchen and entrances
The pictured example has two entrances that both open into the kitchen: double glass doors and a separate single glass door. The kitchen is reported to include a refrigerator, convection microwave, two-burner electric cooktop, sink, shelves and cabinetry. Having both doors enter this area makes the kitchen the circulation hub as well as the cooking space.

The second entrance is not the only possible arrangement. New Atlas says it can be replaced by a larger pantry and a pull-out table, trading a door for storage and a more flexible dining or work surface.
Living room and convertible seating
The living area is arranged around a large L-shaped sofa bed, which can serve as seating by day and an additional sleeping surface when needed. The feature also describes an electric fireplace, a small table, space for a TV and a mini-split air-conditioning unit. It does not specify the sofa-bed dimensions or how the room feels in use, so the reported layout alone cannot establish whether it suits a particular household’s comfort needs.

Bathroom

The loft bedroom’s space-saving trade-off
The single bedroom is in a loft and is reached by a removable wooden ladder. New Atlas describes a double bed, closet and small bedside table, but also notes the ceiling is low. Putting the bed overhead preserves the main floor for shared use; in exchange, reaching the bedroom requires climbing a ladder, and the low ceiling limits the space to sit or move upright. Those are practical considerations for anyone with mobility concerns or who expects to use the loft frequently.

Options and price reported in 2024
New Atlas says exterior materials and some interior arrangements can be configured, including the entrance-to-pantry change. It also notes that selected options may raise the price. The feature listed a starting price of US$108,300 on November 14, 2024; it does not establish whether that figure remains current or specify what the starting price includes. Treat it as a dated report, not a current quote.
