The John Lewis January sale roundup published on 1 January 2026 is historical, not a verified list of deals available today. John Lewis still lists changing offers, but the current offers pages do not confirm that the January prices remain available or reveal what will be discounted in January 2027.
What the January 2026 roundup reported
TechRadar’s article, published 1 January 2026, described New Year savings across technology, fashion, home goods and appliances, reporting discounts of up to 50% on selected lines. That was a promotional maximum reported at the time, not a current site-wide offer. Read the original TechRadar roundup.
| Product named in the article | Price reported on 1 January 2026 | Status today |
|---|---|---|
| MacBook Air M2 | £699, previously £849 | Historical price; current price and stock not established |
| Oura Ring 4 | £249, previously £349 | Historical price; current price and stock not established |
| Shark IZ400UK cordless vacuum | £199, previously £399 | Historical price; current price and stock not established |
These figures are the prices TechRadar reported in 2026; they are not confirmed live John Lewis prices. The available evidence does not establish which January offers, if any, remain available in October 2026, or what will be included in the next January sale.
Where to check John Lewis offers now
John Lewis maintains changing offers and electrical offers pages. They show selected promotions, including categories such as televisions, headphones and appliances, but a landing page is not confirmation that a particular historical deal is still live. Check the specific product listing and its terms before deciding.

John Lewis states on its electrical offers page that electricals include a two-year guarantee at no extra cost and that free Click & Collect is available for orders over £40. These are retailer-stated terms; confirm that they apply to the exact item and order.
How to judge whether a sale price is worthwhile
Compare the exact item, not just its brand or headline discount. A model suffix, size or configuration can change what is included and make a price comparison misleading.
Rank #2
- Model and configuration: Match the full model or SKU. For a laptop, compare processor, memory and storage; for a TV, compare screen size, panel and connectivity; for an appliance, check accessories and installation needs.
- Price basis: Check the live selling price and whether the stated former price is relevant to the exact model. A large percentage off by itself does not show that the item is the best value.
- Ownership costs and terms: Review delivery or collection, returns, guarantee, stock and, for larger appliances, energy use.
What to check on a Dyson offer
John Lewis’s electrical offers page lists a Dyson V12 offer, but that does not establish the current price, availability or terms for a particular V12 model. Verify the exact model on the live product page.
Dyson UK says it checks and matches prices daily. Its stated price-match terms say that if, within seven days of purchase, the same model is advertised for less by Argos, Currys or John Lewis in the UK, Dyson will refund the difference. Check Dyson’s current price-match terms for the model and exclusions before relying on them.

What is—and is not—confirmed
The dated TechRadar article confirms the examples and prices it reported on 1 January 2026. John Lewis’s current offers pages confirm that selected promotions are listed, but they do not verify those old prices. No current October 2026 list of 12 deals, nor a forecast of January 2027 offers, is established here. Treat the named products as historical examples until their individual John Lewis listings confirm a live price, stock and offer terms.
