Start by finding the model number on your BISSELL ProHeat 2X and matching it to its user guide. ProHeat 2X is a family of machines, and steps and replacement parts can differ by model. For common problems, check brush-roll position and obstructions, tank seating and seals, then the relevant spray or suction path. Unplug the cleaner before inspecting parts that move or clearing a blockage.
Find your exact ProHeat 2X model first
Check the model number on the cleaner and use the corresponding BISSELL user guide before trying variant-specific procedures or ordering parts. The Lift-Off, Revolution, Revolution Pet Pro, and 9200P materials do not establish that every instruction or part fits every ProHeat 2X.
BISSELL provides model-specific guides and product information for its ProHeat 2X Lift-Off, ProHeat 2X Revolution, ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro, and ProHeat 2X 9200P. Confirm compatibility against your model before using a part listing.
If the brush rolls do not spin
Check the operating position
For the covered Lift-Off model, the brush rolls rotate when the machine is reclined. BISSELL states, “The brushes will only rotate when the machine is reclined.” Make sure the cleaner is properly seated, turn it on, and recline it to check whether the rolls turn. Inspect for an obstruction or belt problem
- Turn the cleaner off and unplug it.
- Check the brush-roll area for hair, debris, or another trapped object and remove any obstruction you can safely reach.
- If the rolls still do not turn, a faulty or broken belt is one possible cause. Use your model’s belt instructions and verify the replacement belt fits that exact model.
A belt listing alone does not diagnose the fault or guarantee that a replacement will restore operation.
If suction is weak or absent at the foot
Turn the cleaner off and unplug it before working through these checks. BISSELL’s Revolution and Pet Pro guidance identifies tanks, seals, filters, and blockages as areas to inspect; use the steps that match your variant.

Check the tanks and seals
- Reseat both tanks.
- Empty the dirty-water tank if it has reached its fill line.
- Refill the clean-water tank if it is empty.
- On the Revolution, check that the dirty-tank rubber tab and accessory hose door are secured.
- On the Pet Pro, check the dirty-tank plug and bottom cap as directed in its guide.
Inspect the filter and airflow path
- Clean the red filter on the Revolution.
- On the Pet Pro, inspect the red motor duct.
- Remove debris from the nozzle using the appropriate clean-out tool.
- For the Pet Pro, check the brush rolls and make sure the brush-roll cover is correctly reinstalled.

If there is no spray or the hose sprays weakly
Begin with the clean-water supply and tank fit, following your model’s instructions. If the issue is with the hose, test it separately from its attachment to narrow down where the blockage may be.

- Remove Tough, Ground-In Dirt & Stains. Use with BISSELL PRO MAX Clean plus Protect formula.
- Remove the tool from the hose and test whether the bare hose sprays.
- If the bare hose sprays, the attachment may be clogged. Clear it according to its instructions.
- If the bare hose does not spray, inspect the hose connector for debris and check that the hose is not kinked.
- BISSELL’s hose troubleshooting transcript suggests clearing debris from spray tips or the connector with a paperclip. Avoid forcing anything into a passage; if the cleaning procedure is unclear for your model, stop and consult its guide.
- If cleaning the relevant tips or connector does not restore spray, contact an authorized service center. BISSELL recommends service for unresolved spray problems.
The bare-hose test helps distinguish a possible tool blockage from an issue farther along the hose or spray path; it does not by itself identify a failed part. More involved spray-line checks are also described in BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X hose troubleshooting material. Use an authorized service center if you are not comfortable carrying them out.

- Match the part to the exact model number.
- Confirm that the relevant user guide supports the replacement as a user-level procedure.
- Do not assume a new part will fix the problem; the symptom can have more than one cause.
