The nutribullet Flip combines a portable blender with a 590 ml insulated stainless-steel tumbler. nutribullet says the cup keeps blends cold for up to 24 hours, but that is a manufacturer claim—not an independently verified result with published test conditions. Its listed features include USB-C charging, an advertised 14-plus 30-second blending cycles per full charge, and a lid setup designed for blending and sipping from the same cup.
How does the nutribullet Flip work?
The Flip is designed to serve as both blender and drinking tumbler. Fill the stainless-steel cup, flip the assembly to blend, then turn it back to sip. The blade and lid arrangement is intended to stay together through those steps, rather than requiring you to remove a separate blending cup and transfer the smoothie.
nutribullet’s official product page identifies the black version as model NBP016B and lists a 590 ml insulated cup. That is the stated cup capacity; the product information reviewed does not specify how much liquid remains usable after accounting for ingredients, blending space, or fill limits. Check the cup markings and the current model manual before filling.
How long does it keep a smoothie cold?
nutribullet advertises cold retention of up to 24 hours. The phrase “up to” matters: the company’s product materials do not provide independent test results or conditions such as starting temperature, room temperature, or whether the cup was opened during the interval. Treat 24 hours as the manufacturer’s maximum claim, not a guarantee that every smoothie will remain at a particular temperature for that long.

The insulated stainless-steel cup is the part intended to retain cold after blending. For details of the claim, see nutribullet’s US portable-products listing and its NBP016B product page. nutribullet also described the Flip as an all-in-one portable blender and insulated tumbler in its July 24, 2024 article, “Meet the nutribullet® Flip Insulated Portable Blender.”
Can it blend frozen fruit and ice?
nutribullet says the Flip can blend ice, most frozen fruit, and many fresh ingredients. This is the manufacturer’s capability description; the available product information does not establish an independent test across ingredient sizes, quantities, or recipes. As with any compact blender, follow the model’s fill and operating directions rather than assuming every frozen ingredient load will blend equally well.
Do not assume that advice for another nutribullet model applies to the Flip. The general nutribullet FAQ warns against blending hot or carbonated ingredients in most models, but the Flip’s own instructions should govern what can be blended in this specific device.

How many smoothies can it make on one charge?
The NBP016B product page specifies an 11.1V rechargeable battery and advertises more than 14 blending cycles of 30 seconds each per full charge. That is a cycle count stated by nutribullet, not a guaranteed number of finished smoothies: a smoothie may need more than one cycle, and the listing does not state the conditions used to determine the figure. Charging is by USB-C.
nutribullet also says the battery has 50% more power than “most standard portable blenders,” framing the comparison as a two-cell 7.4V portable blender. This is the manufacturer’s comparison, not an independent market-wide battery test.

Package contents can vary by model or market, so check the listing for the exact version being sold. nutribullet’s 2025 German catalog names other model codes—NBP016W, NBP016MA, and NBP016EUC—as well as NBP016B, and labels the line an Amazon exclusive in that catalog. That German catalog information does not establish current US availability for those variants.
How should you clean it?
nutribullet’s general FAQ says cups and accessories are top-rack dishwasher safe, recommends promptly hand-washing the blade with warm soapy water, and says to clean the unplugged motor base with a warm, soapy cloth. It also says not to put the blade or motor base in the dishwasher. Because this guidance is general rather than specific to the Flip, use the current NBP016B manual for definitive care and safety directions.

What does the nutribullet Flip cost?
The official US nutribullet portable-products listing showed $99.99 when checked on October 5, 2026. This is a dated US listing price, not a guaranteed price in another country or at a later date; check the live listing before buying.
What to weigh before choosing it
The Flip’s appeal is the combination of a portable blender and an insulated cup intended for drinking directly, alongside a USB-C-rechargeable battery. Whether that combination suits you depends on how you plan to use it:
Quick Recap
- Cold retention: the up-to-24-hour figure is a nutribullet claim, with no independent test conditions established in the product information reviewed.
- Capacity: the listed cup holds 590 ml; consider whether that stated capacity fits your usual serving.
- Ingredients: ice and most frozen fruit are included in nutribullet’s capability claim, but not independently verified here.
- Charging: compare the advertised 14-plus 30-second cycles per full charge with your likely number of blends and how often you can recharge.
- Design and care: the integrated blend-and-sip arrangement may reduce transfers, while the included blade, lids, straw, and cup mean there are multiple parts to clean and keep track of.
- Support and price: confirm the model number, package contents, local price, manual, and warranty terms for the market where you intend to buy. The product information cited here does not establish warranty terms or separate replacement-part availability.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
