What the award recognised
Daily Record says the award recognised Dangote Cement Transport’s contributions to road transport operations, safety standards and logistics efficiency in Nigeria. The article does not provide a judging rubric, independent performance measures or a comparison with other operators, so the recognition should be understood as TCAN’s reported award rather than a quantified assessment of the company’s performance.
The report describes the presentation as part of TCAN’s third annual Transport Summit, a Lagos gathering where stakeholders discussed transformation of Nigeria’s transport sector. It does not state the event date.
Who accepted the award
Daily Record identifies Murilo Silva, Head of Dangote Cement Transport, as the delegation leader who received the award for the company’s transport management. The article attributes the following remarks to Silva:

Issues raised at the summit
The award was reported alongside wider discussions about transport coordination, road safety, logistics connections and port modernisation. Those subjects provide context for the event, but the report does not establish that proposals mentioned at the summit have been implemented.
Daily Record says presidential aide Dr. Segun Obayendo called for LAMATA-style transport systems in all 36 states and referred to a Presidential Initiative on Road Transport Transformation. It also reports remarks delivered on behalf of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy about port upgrades and logistics links. These are reported calls and remarks, not confirmation of completed projects.
