Compare the usable wash and spin figures rather than relying on a single headline capacity.
Measure the installation space
Measure width, depth, height, and the route through doors or hallways. Costway’s 26 lb model and Giantex’s portable model both list dimensions of 27.5 × 16 × 32 in. Panasonic Philippines lists its NA-W11523B at 990 × 930 × 530 mm and 24.5 kg. Allow additional room for opening lids, connecting hoses, and moving laundry between tubs.
Check water, drainage, and electricity
- Water inlet: Confirm that the included inlet arrangement can reach a suitable faucet or water source. Costway lists an inlet pipe and drainage pipe on a separate compact model; verify the accessories and hose reach for the exact model you buy.
- Drain: Check where wastewater can discharge and whether the machine relies on gravity or specifies a pump. Giantex specifies a pump drain. Do not assume another model has one.
- Power: Match the machine’s voltage, frequency, plug, and power requirements to your location. Giantex’s listed configuration is 120 V, 60 Hz, with 280 W wash power and 140 W spin power.
- Local support: Check current stock, warranty terms, service availability, and exact model number in your country. Regional pages do not establish that a model is sold or supported everywhere.

What using a twin tub involves
- Load the wash tub: Add laundry and water according to the model’s instructions, then set the wash function and timer.
- Transfer clothes: When washing is complete, move items by hand from the wash compartment to the smaller spin compartment. Respect its lower capacity; a large wash load may require multiple spin batches.
- Run the spin cycle: Set the spin function and timer. Spinning removes some water, but it does not heat-dry clothing. Plan to hang or otherwise dry laundry afterward.
- Drain and finish: Route wastewater as the manual specifies, then follow the maker’s care instructions for cleaning and storage.
This hands-on transfer and separate setting of wash and spin functions is the central trade-off against a fully automatic washer. The cited specifications do not establish water or energy savings versus other washer types, so do not assume a twin tub will reduce either.
