Short answer: The Pink Stuff Miracle Cleaning Paste may be worth trying for targeted grime and stains on surfaces its manufacturer lists, provided you use it gently and check the surface first. It is a mild abrasive—not a universal cleaner—and the available evidence does not show that it cleans better than comparable products.
What is The Pink Stuff, and what is it meant to clean?
The Pink Stuff Miracle Cleaning Paste is a cleaning paste that its manufacturer describes as a mild abrasive for dirt, grime and stains. The manufacturer lists uses including saucepans, cooker tops, sinks, uPVC, barbecues, ceramic tiles, glass, showers, garden furniture, paintwork, boats and brass. Those are stated intended uses, not independent confirmation that the paste is safe or equally effective on every surface. See the manufacturer’s product details and directions.
The paste is sold in 500 g and 850 g pots, according to the manufacturer. A separate kit pairs an 850 g pot with a dual-sided sponge; the kit page also cautions users to rub gently. The manufacturer describes the Cleaning Paste Kit here.
How to use it while reducing scratch risk
Because the paste is mildly abrasive, pressure and surface compatibility matter. The manufacturer’s directions are to apply it with a soft cloth or sponge, rub gently and rinse with hot water. It warns that excessive pressure can scratch surfaces.

- Do not let the paste dry on the surface.
- Do not apply it to a hot or warm surface.
- Take particular care with glass, highly polished steel and ceramic hobs, which the manufacturer specifically flags.
Follow the directions on the package you buy. The squeezable paste is a separate format with its own directions and caution text, including a reference to benzisothiazolinone. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for the squeezable format.
Does it live up to the hype?
It can make sense for a specific job on a surface that matches the manufacturer’s list, if you are comfortable with careful manual scrubbing. Whether it is worth buying depends on the surface, the soil you are cleaning, the care the job requires and the price where you shop.

The available sources do not establish that The Pink Stuff outperforms comparable cleaners, nor do they substantiate the product’s “miracle” framing with controlled comparative testing. They also do not support treating it as a universal cleaner or a disinfectant. There is no independent performance statistic here that would justify a promised success rate or a blanket claim that it is the best choice.
