賃貸住宅などで室内カメラから屋外を監視するなら、まずIRライトをオフにし、窓の外の照明を使う方法を試してください。夜間の検知や画質を重視する場合は、屋外用カメラを窓の外へ設置する方が安定します。

窓越しの暗視が白くなる原因
赤外線暗視カメラは、暗所を照らすために本体のIR LEDを発光させます。窓越しでは、この光が屋外へ進む前にガラスの内側で反射し、レンズへ戻ります。その結果、画面全体が白くなる、ハレーションが出る、カメラ本体や室内が映り込むといった症状が起きます。

これは「窓越しでは暗視できない」という意味ではありません。暗視用IR照明を窓の内側で発光させる構成が問題になりやすい、ということです。
まず試す設定:IRライトをオフにする
機種によって、暗視モードとIRライトを別々に設定できる場合があります。設定画面で次のような項目を探してください。
- Night Vision
- Night Vision IR Lights
- IR Lights
- 赤外線ライト
- 暗視補助光
例えばWyze Cam v2/Panでは、カメラ画面→右上の歯車→Advanced Settings→Night Vision IR Lights→OffでIRライトだけを停止できます。設定名や対応状況は製品ごとに異なります。
IRライトと暗視機能を個別に設定できない機種では、暗視機能そのものをオフにする必要があります。古いLogitech Alertの公式手順では、Settings→Cameras→対象カメラ→Advanced→Night VisionのEnableを解除→Apply→OKとしますが、これは現行製品にそのまま適用できるとは限りません。詳しくはWyzeの案内や各メーカーの説明書を確認してください。
IRをオフにした後の照明方法
屋外の常夜灯・センサーライトを使う
最も簡単なのは、玄関灯や庭園灯、センサーライトなどを窓の外に設置する方法です。カメラ側のIRライトをオフにし、可視光でカラー撮影または低照度撮影を行います。
光源はカメラへ直接向けず、監視対象の横または斜め上から照らしてください。カメラに光が正面から入ると、IR反射とは別に白飛びや逆光が発生します。

屋外に赤外線投光器を設置する
白黒の赤外線暗視を使いたい場合は、赤外線投光器を窓の外側に設置します。重要なのは、IRをカメラの内側で発光させないことです。Wyzeも、IRライトをオフにして映像が暗い場合は、窓の外にモーション式投光器やIRブラスターを設置する方法を案内しています。
低照度カラー撮影を使う
スターライト方式や低照度センサー、大口径レンズを搭載したカメラなら、街灯や月明かりなどを利用してIRに頼らず撮影できる場合があります。ただし、完全な暗闇で必ずカラー映像になるわけではありません。
TP-Link Tapo C325WBは、低照度センサーとF1.0レンズによるColorPro撮影を特徴としますが、光がまったくない場合はIRモードに切り替わります。窓越しで使うなら、実際の設置環境で反射を確認してください。
窓越し撮影の正しい設置方法
- レンズをガラスに近づける。窓から離すほど室内の反射が入りやすくなります。可能ならレンズ面をガラスと平行にします。
- 室内を暗くする。室内照明、テレビ、モニター、窓際のランプを消し、カメラ背面の光がガラスに反射しないようにします。
- 窓とレンズを清掃する。汚れ、結露、雨粒はぼけや光の散乱、誤検知の原因になります。
- 網戸やメッシュを画角から外す。Googleは、網戸が動体検知に影響する可能性を案内しています。
- カメラを固定する。窓枠や台の振動で画面が動くと、映像式検知が誤反応しやすくなります。
- カーテンや遮光材で背後を遮る。ただし、カメラの放熱や可動部を妨げないようにします。
レンズをガラスに密着させると反射を減らせますが、反射を完全に消せるわけではありません。二重ガラス、Low-Eガラス、着色ガラス、網入りガラスでは結果が変わるため、夜間に実地確認が必要です。
窓越しの動体検知が不安定な理由
映像を撮影できることと、窓の外の人を自動検知できることは別です。
PIRセンサーだけに依存するカメラは、窓越しの屋外検知に向きません。PIRは人や動物の熱の変化を検出しますが、窓ガラスが熱赤外線の通過を妨げるためです。ASUSは、窓の外の動体でPIRセンサーが起動・録画しないことが多いと説明しています。Arloも、窓越しの動体検知は信頼できず、反射による誤検知が起こり得ると案内しています。

- 映像のフレーム変化による動体検知
- 人物・車両などの映像解析式検知
- 屋外に設置した別のモーションセンサー
- PIRのみの機種は避ける
映像式検知でも、ヘッドライト、雨、木の揺れ、反射による誤検知や検知漏れは残ります。Canaryも同様の制限を説明しています。また、バッテリー式カメラは省電力のためスリープし、窓越しではセンサーが起動しない場合があります。

- 昼間に監視対象を画角へ収める。
- 窓枠、網戸、雨戸ができるだけ映らない位置に固定する。
- 夜間に室内照明を消し、反射を確認する。
- IRライト、または暗視機能をオフにする。
- 窓の外に可視光の照明かIR投光器を設置する。
- PIRではなく映像式の動体検知や人物検知を有効にする。
- 検知エリアを道路や木の揺れる範囲から監視対象に絞る。
- 夜間に人が歩き、車が通過し、雨天や結露時にも通知と映像を確認する。
症状別の対処法

IRライトをオンにしたまま露出や明るさだけを下げても、ガラス反射そのものは解決しません。
窓越し用カメラの選び方
- IRライトを手動でオフにできる
- 暗視機能とIRライトを個別に設定できる
- PIR以外に映像式の動体検知がある
- 人物・車両検知が映像解析式である
- 低照度撮影やカラー暗視に対応する
- バッテリー節約のため夜間にスリープしない
- microSDなどのローカル録画に対応する
- クラウド契約の有無と保存期間が明確である
- 設置場所までWi-Fiが届く
屋外側へ設置できるなら、防水・防塵性能、電源、固定方法も確認します。窓越し運用では、製品ページに「暗視対応」と書かれているだけでなく、IRライトを止められるかを確認することが重要です。

屋外用カメラへ切り替えるべきケース
夜間の人物確認、車のナンバーや顔の識別、確実な通知、24時間録画が必要なら、窓越し運用は妥協策です。雨や結露が多い、窓の外に照明を置けない、PIRを使いたい場合も、屋外用カメラを直接設置した方が適しています。
一方、賃貸で穴あけ工事ができない、室内から電源を取りたい、昼間中心の監視でよい、カメラの盗難を避けたいという場合は、IRオフ+屋外照明の構成に合理性があります。
設置前に確認したいプライバシー
屋外を撮影する場合は、自宅敷地内を中心に画角を設定し、隣家や通行人、道路を必要以上に撮影しないようにします。検知エリアやプライバシーマスクを使い、音声録音やクラウド共有も必要最小限にしてください。地域のプライバシーやデータ保護に関するルールも確認しましょう。
