The reported launch price was CNY 2,999, with sales scheduled to begin in China at 8 p.m. on May 13, 2025. The product has an official listing on Xiaomi’s China shopping site, but the supplied evidence does not confirm a U.S. launch, U.S. warranty, U.S. retail price or international power compatibility.
What is the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 4 Max?
The Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 4 Max is an upright cordless floor washer for hard floors. It combines powered brushing, vacuum pickup and wet mopping in one appliance, making it suitable for everyday dirt, liquid spills, kitchen residue and pet-related messes.
It sits above the reported Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 4 and 4 Pro in Xiaomi’s lineup. Its differentiators are not limited to suction: the Max adds the largest reported battery and tanks in the series, an edge-cleaning mechanism, app connectivity and a more elaborate dock-cleaning system.

How the edge-cleaning arm is supposed to work
Most upright floor washers have a narrow uncleaned strip along a baseboard because the roller and water-delivery hardware cannot reach the machine’s outer edge. Xiaomi’s reported solution is a moving “Live Water Edge-Cleaning Arm.”
According to the launch report, the arm is designed to extend toward a wall, maintain contact with the edge and deliver fresh water directly into that area. The reported system uses infrared sensing to detect an edge, while an acceleration algorithm is intended to reposition the arm quickly as the machine moves along the wall.
Coverage also reports separate water-circulation paths for the main roller and the edge-cleaning arm. In principle, that could help the machine scrub and recover dirty water at the perimeter rather than merely dragging a damp brush beside the baseboard.
There are important limits to what is confirmed. The supplied sources do not provide a patent number, independently verify the patent claim, measure the arm’s effective cleaning width or show controlled third-party testing. It is therefore more accurate to say that Xiaomi and launch coverage describe the arm as patented or patent-based—not that its patent status or cleaning performance has been independently established.
The arm may also work differently against uneven trim, textured walls, grout lines or damaged baseboards. Straight wall-edge cleaning is a more reasonable expectation than perfect cleaning in every sharp inside corner.
What does 23,000Pa suction actually tell you?
Xiaomi’s 23,000Pa figure is a maximum suction specification. The launch report also lists 134AW input power and roller rotation of up to 450rpm. Those figures suggest a high-specification motor and brush system, but they do not by themselves prove better real-world floor cleaning.

Floor-washer performance depends on how the roller contacts the surface, how effectively water is delivered and recovered, the floor material, the size and moisture of debris, the selected cleaning mode and the battery state. The measurement point also matters: a maximum pressure figure measured at a motor or inlet is not the same as suction available at the wet roller while the machine is moving across a floor.

In practical terms, 23,000Pa should be read as a headline specification, not a guarantee that the Max will outperform every lower-rated cleaner. No supplied source reports controlled measurements for wet pickup, edge-cleaning width, residual moisture, noise, push force or suction at the roller.
Cleaning modes and floor compatibility
The launch report describes five cleaning modes. Reported functions include intelligent suction adjustment, a wood-floor mode intended to reduce residual moisture and speed drying, and a kitchen mode aimed at sticky or oily messes. Other reported modes relate to normal cleaning and water absorption or sterilization functions.
Exact English menu labels, app paths and firmware behavior were not verified, so buyers should not assume that an imported unit will present the same interface shown in translated coverage.

- Sealed tile, stone and other compatible hard floors.
- Kitchen and bathroom floors that need simultaneous scrubbing and liquid pickup.
- Everyday food debris and wet spills.
- Homes with pets, where hair and occasional tracked-in messes are common.
- Larger hard-floor areas that benefit from bigger tanks and a longer claimed runtime.
Where caution is needed
The reported wood-floor mode is not proof that the machine is safe for every wooden floor. Unsealed timber, damaged finishes, open seams and porous surfaces can be vulnerable to moisture. Even sealed wood and laminate should be cleaned only in accordance with the flooring manufacturer’s care instructions.
The Max is a wet-floor appliance, not a general dry vacuum. It is not intended to replace a suitable dry vacuum for carpets, rugs, stairs, upholstery or ceilings. Hardened grease may still require pretreatment, and a large liquid spill may exceed what the tank or recovery channel can handle safely.
Self-cleaning does not mean maintenance-free
The dock is reported to wash the roller with water reaching up to 100°C, dry it with approximately 90°C hot air and perform a 120°C high-temperature ironing stage intended to help restore the roller and reduce residual moisture or odor. The broader system is also described as using electrolyzed water and antimicrobial materials in a four-stage sterilization approach.
These claims should not be interpreted as proof that the machine sterilizes an entire floor or eliminates every bacterium, allergen or mold risk. Nor does an automated dock remove routine maintenance.

- Empty and rinse the dirty-water tank.
- Inspect the roller, roller ends and edge arm for hair or debris.
- Clean filters, channels and the intake when suction or water recovery declines.
- Use only Xiaomi-approved or demonstrably compatible cleaning solutions; excess detergent can create foam and interfere with recovery.
- Allow hot components to cool before touching the roller or opening the dock.
The reported four-stage anti-tangle system uses long comb teeth, a pressurized metal scraper and a V-shaped suction inlet. Launch coverage claims it can handle up to 3,000 strands of long hair without clogging or maintenance issues. That is a controlled manufacturer or certification-style claim, not a guarantee for every household. Hair can still collect around roller bearings, end caps or wet debris channels.

The 5,000mAh battery is reported to provide up to 50 minutes of operation and up to 400m2 of cleaning coverage. Both figures are “up to” claims. Actual runtime will vary with suction mode, water use, contamination, self-propelled assistance and the test conditions used by Xiaomi. Charging time was not verified.
The reported 1,000mL clean-water tank and 700mL dirty-water tank should reduce interruptions compared with smaller machines, although water consumption and spill type will determine how long they last in practice.

A full 180-degree recline allows the body and handle to lie nearly flat, potentially helping it reach below beds and sofas. Actual clearance depends on the furniture height and the machine’s dimensions, which were not verified in the supplied research. Flat mode may also change maneuverability, water flow or dirty-water recovery, so it should not automatically be treated as equivalent to upright operation.

The 4 Pro is the most obvious lower-cost alternative if the buyer wants the same general wet-and-dry floor-washer format. The Max’s reported advantages are higher suction, a larger battery, longer claimed runtime, larger tanks and the edge-cleaning arm—not a fundamentally different category of appliance.
China-market shoppers considering a newer generation may also encounter a Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Max listing on JD.com, described in the supplied evidence with 28kPa suction and expanded steam, foam or hot-water features. The listing evidence does not establish final pricing, international availability or whether every advertised feature belongs to the same package or version.
Price and availability outside China
The reported launch signal was a CNY 2,999 JD.com pre-order price, with official sales scheduled for May 13, 2025. The approximately $414 figure used in some launch coverage was only a currency conversion. It is not a U.S. MSRP or a delivered import price.
As of September 5, 2026, the supplied evidence confirms China-market availability through Xiaomi’s China product page and related JD listings. It does not verify an official U.S. launch, U.S. warranty, local replacement parts, English-language support or electrical compatibility outside China.

Should you buy the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 4 Max?
For a China-market buyer with mostly hard floors, the Max is a credible flagship-style wet floor washer on paper. Its edge-cleaning arm addresses a genuine weakness of many floor washers, while the larger tanks, 5,000mAh battery, flat-recline design and hair-handling features are useful in larger or pet-owning households.
