Xiaomi launched the Smart Home Screen Max 27 in China on August 18, 2025. It combines a 27-inch touchscreen with a wheeled, height-adjustable stand, a built-in battery, HyperOS and Xiaomi smart-home controls. Xiaomi’s headline endurance figure is up to 13 days in standby—not 13 days of continuous screen use. The reported active-use figures are up to nine hours of video playback or 52 hours of music playback.
The device went on sale in China on August 21, 2025, at CNY 3,999. No confirmed international launch or pricing was identified in the available coverage.

What the Xiaomi Smart Home Screen Max 27 is
The Smart Home Screen Max 27 is best understood as a movable smart-home and entertainment display, not as a conventional 27-inch computer monitor. Its floor-standing base has five concealed wheels, allowing the screen to move between rooms without being permanently installed beside a desk or wall.
It is designed to act as a control point for compatible Xiaomi and Mijia smart-home devices, while also supporting streaming, music, karaoke, fitness features and some external-display use. These specifications come from launch coverage by Gizmochina, Gadgets 360 and Notebookcheck. Xiaomi has not publicly identified the processor model in the available material.
The 13-day battery claim needs context
The frequently repeated “13-day battery” description refers to standby endurance. It does not mean the display can show video continuously for 13 days.

These are manufacturer figures reported by launch coverage, not independent test results. Actual runtime will depend on screen brightness, Wi-Fi activity, speaker volume, camera use, connected accessories, standby settings and software configuration. One report contains an inconsistent reference to “13 hours” of standby, but the same coverage later states 13 days, which matches the broader reporting. The defensible interpretation is 13 days of standby.

What it can do
Control compatible smart-home devices
HyperOS and Super XiaoAI are intended to let users manage compatible Xiaomi and Mijia devices from the large touchscreen or by voice. That could make the Max 27 useful in a kitchen, living room, bedroom or exercise area where a user wants a visible control point.
Compatibility should not be treated as universal smart-home support. The available sources do not establish support for Matter, Google Home or Apple Home, and Xiaomi device compatibility can depend on account region, firmware and server availability.
Stream video and play music
Launch reports name Chinese services including iQIYI, Tencent Video and Youku. The display can also function as a large-screen music player. International streaming apps and services should not be assumed to work in the same way outside China.
Karaoke and fitness
The Max 27 is reported to support karaoke with a MIJIA karaoke microphone, displaying lyrics while playing music. Xiaomi also describes AI-based movement recognition intended to help users correct exercise form. These are advertised use cases; the available material does not independently verify the accuracy of the recognition system or specify all compatible software and accessories.

Use it as an external display
Coverage says the device can work as an external display for PCs, smartphones and consoles including the Nintendo Switch. However, the available specifications do not establish supported resolutions, refresh rates, HDCP behavior or input latency.
Ports: what is confirmed and what is not
The reported connections are HDMI 1.4, USB-A and USB-C. That gives the product a useful range of potential wired connections, but the port list is incomplete from a buyer’s perspective.
The available reports do not confirm the number of ports, USB data speeds, USB-C power delivery, charging wattage or whether USB-C supports video input. HDMI 1.4 suggests an external video connection may be part of the design, but it is not enough to establish every supported display mode. Buyers who need a specific laptop, phone or console setup should verify the detailed port behavior before importing one.

The combination of a 27-inch panel, concealed wheels, battery operation and an adjustable stand is the product’s main differentiator. The screen can be rotated between landscape and portrait orientation, raised or lowered by a reported 20cm, and tilted up or down.

That flexibility could be useful when the same display needs to serve different positions: a recipe screen in the kitchen, entertainment display in a living room, control panel near smart-home equipment or workout screen in another room.
“Movable” should not be confused with “portable” in the tablet sense. The product’s weight was not established in the available reports, and there was no independent testing of the wheels. Carpets, thresholds, uneven floors, pets and children may all affect how practical or stable a wheeled 27-inch display is.

Xiaomi announced a Chinese price of CNY 3,999, equivalent to roughly US$555–$557 at the time of launch coverage. That is a launch-time comparison, not a current exchange-rate conversion or a delivered import price.
The product launched in China on August 18, 2025, with sales scheduled for August 21. No confirmed global rollout or international pricing was identified in the reviewed sources. Importing one may add shipping, taxes and reseller margins, while warranty coverage, language support, Xiaomi account requirements and regional services may differ from those in China.

Limitations buyers should consider
- Full HD resolution: 1,920 × 1,080 is less sharp and provides less workspace than a 1440p or 4K monitor at this size.
- China-market software: XiaoAI, streaming services and smart-home integrations may be region-specific.
- Unspecified performance: Xiaomi has not identified the octa-core processor, so performance comparisons with tablets or PCs are premature.
- Battery wording: 13 days means standby; active video playback is reported at up to nine hours.
- Unclear connectivity details: The listed ports lack confirmed counts, speeds and USB-C video or charging specifications.
- No independent testing: Brightness, refresh rate, color coverage, touch latency, speakers, weight, charging speed, wheel stability and real-world battery life remain unverified in the available material.
- Privacy questions: The integrated 5MP camera and voice assistant raise questions about hardware camera controls, microphone controls, application permissions and whether data is processed locally or remotely. Those details were not established.
Who is it for?
The Max 27 makes the most sense for an existing Xiaomi or Mijia household that values a large, movable interface more than monitor-class image quality. It could also suit users who want one screen for casual video, music, karaoke, fitness and smart-home control across several rooms.
It is a poor fit for anyone specifically seeking a high-resolution PC monitor, high refresh rate, color-critical display, gaming-focused latency, lightweight portability or confirmed international warranty and English-language support. A conventional monitor on a rolling stand, a large tablet, a smart TV on a mobile floor stand or a portable monitor may be more appropriate depending on whether image quality, software flexibility or easy transport matters most.
Bottom line
The Xiaomi Smart Home Screen Max 27 is an unusual China-market smart-home display with genuine monitor-like versatility, but it should not be bought on the promise of “13 days of battery life.” Its headline figure is standby endurance, while reported active use is up to nine hours of video. The concept is compelling for Xiaomi households that want a wheeled, room-to-room control and entertainment screen; it is much less compelling as a replacement for a sharp, conventional 27-inch computer monitor.
