The Xiaomi MIJIA Thermos Cup Ti is a China-market 450 ml titanium vacuum cup announced in December 2022. Xiaomi scheduled its Youpin crowdfunding launch for December 28 at 189 yuan. It combines a reported TA1 titanium inner and outer body with a one-button flip lid and removable tea filter, but there is no verified evidence of an official international launch for the original model.

The MIJIA Thermos Cup Ti was announced for China-market crowdfunding through Xiaomi Youpin, Xiaomi’s lifestyle-shopping and crowdfunding platform. The reported launch price was 189 yuan.

The same launch coverage lists the weight as 21.5 g. That figure appears questionable for a 450 ml vacuum-insulated cup with inner and outer metal shells. It should be treated as a reported but unverified specification rather than silently corrected to another number.

What the titanium body changes
Xiaomi promoted the cup’s TA1 titanium construction as resistant to corrosion, chemical reaction with beverages, and heavy-metal precipitation. Those are manufacturer or launch-report claims, not independent health testing. Titanium is generally valued for corrosion resistance, low density, and premium durability, and some users may prefer its taste characteristics over conventional metal drinkware.
However, titanium is not automatically “healthier” than quality food-grade stainless steel. Real-world safety and usability also depend on welds, seals, coatings, the tea filter, cleaning access, and the materials used in the lid and gasket. A titanium body does not make the entire cup antibacterial or self-cleaning.

Thermal-performance claims need context
Xiaomi reportedly said the 450 ml cup could maintain hot drinks at approximately 58°C and cold drinks at approximately 10°C for up to six hours. The report does not specify the starting temperature, ambient conditions, fill level, measurement location, or whether those figures are targets, minimums, or endpoint readings.

In other words, it is more accurate to describe these as Xiaomi’s claimed six-hour temperature results than to say without qualification that the cup keeps drinks hot or cold for six hours. The insulation comes primarily from the vacuum-insulated structure; titanium itself is not a substitute for vacuum insulation and does not guarantee better thermal performance than stainless steel.

The one-button flip lid is intended to allow quick, one-handed opening. The removable filter gives loose-leaf tea drinkers more flexibility than a plain travel cup. Those features also introduce practical trade-offs: moving parts and seals create additional areas to clean, while a fine filter can slow flow or retain tea residue.

A locking or button-operated lid does not by itself prove that the cup is leakproof. Leak resistance depends on the gasket, hinge, closure alignment, and wear over time. The available coverage does not provide a leak-test result or replacement-gasket information.

Xiaomi later introduced the MIJIA Thermos Cup Ti 2 through Youpin crowdfunding in February 2024. It is a related product, not the same cup.
