What the Xiaomi Mijia 1.5L cooker includes
Xiaomi markets the appliance internationally as the Xiaomi Multifunctional Cooker 1.5L; Chinese launch coverage calls it the Mijia Multifunctional Electric Cooker 1.5L, model MEC01. Xiaomi’s Global specifications state a rated capacity of 1.5L and rated power of 1000W. The product page also describes a 1.2L steamer that sits above the pot for cooking food simultaneously. The cooker has five adjustable power levels, according to Xiaomi. Its listed food-contact and exterior materials include a ceramic-coated non-stick inner pot, a heat-resistant PP steamer, a glass lid and a PP exterior. Xiaomi says the inner pot detaches from the base for cleaning. The Global package contents list the cooker, base, steamer and manual.
Why sources give different preset counts
Xiaomi Global lists five preset options: Hotpot, Steam, Soup, DIY and Keep warm. IT Home’s report on the Chinese launch, published September 4, 2024, describes six menu modes: hotpot, steaming, noodles, soup, custom and keep-warm. The Chinese report’s six-mode count includes noodle cooking, which is not among the five presets listed on Xiaomi’s Global page. Keep-warm behavior
Xiaomi says the cooker automatically enters keep-warm mode for eight hours once a dish is ready. The product page also describes a manual keep-warm setting adjustable within 24 hours. These refer to different controls: the automatic eight-hour behavior after cooking and the adjustable manual setting. Xiaomi Global product page.
Safety features Xiaomi describes
Xiaomi says a built-in thermostat detects low water and stops heating to prevent dry burning. The company also describes a drainage hole in the base intended to prevent water from accumulating. Check the electrical model before buying
The Global specifications identify model MEC01-EU and give a 220–240V rating. Xiaomi UK lists model MEC01-EN, also rated 220–240V. The two pages give the same listed capacity, power, dimensions, weights and package contents, but buyers should verify the precise model and mains rating for their destination rather than assume that a listing for another market is suitable. Those are historical China-market figures, with the lower amount described as an introductory offer; they are not evidence of a current price or availability in other countries.
