What appliance categories are associated with specific facilities?
Electrolux Canada gives examples of appliance categories made at North American facilities: dishwashers in Kinston, North Carolina; freezers in St. Cloud, Minnesota; and refrigerators in Anderson, South Carolina. What is changing at the Anderson, South Carolina plant?
In an announcement dated September 21, 2026, Electrolux said the Anderson facility was operating as Electrolux Midea Appliance Manufacturing, a joint venture in which Electrolux is the majority owner. The site was transitioning toward premium top-load laundry production planned for the first half of 2027. This change means the older Anderson refrigerator example should not be treated as a guarantee of current or future output. Details are in Electrolux’s Anderson facility announcement.
How can you find where a particular Frigidaire appliance was made?
- Check the appliance’s country-of-origin marking. Use the marking on the specific unit rather than assuming its origin from the Frigidaire brand or a general plant list.
- Match the model number to its documentation. Consult the appliance’s model documentation for product-specific details. The official sources cited here do not provide a complete, current model-to-factory or model-to-country lookup.
Electrolux reported that North America generated 34% of its group sales in 2025, with regional sales of SEK 45.1 billion. That is corporate context, not a statistic about Frigidaire products or their manufacturing origins.
