The Stirio V2 was Unikia’s 2014 update to its rechargeable automatic pot stirrer, designed to hold a stirring blade over a pot while the motor did the stirring. New Atlas reported adjustable pot fit and an articulated blade, but those were launch-era product claims—not independently tested results—and the historical price should not be treated as current. A retailer now marks a separate Stirio 27-320 listing as no longer available.
What was the Stirio V2?
Unikia’s Stirio was a motorized device that mounted across a cooking pot and turned a stirring blade. In its December 10, 2014 report on the V2, New Atlas described it as a rechargeable appliance intended to stir foods such as porridge, risotto, and stew while freeing the cook from continuous manual stirring.
New Atlas said the V2’s arms could retract to fit pots 15–25 cm wide, and that the blade extension could be adjusted for pots 7.5–18 cm tall. The article reported a claimed runtime of at least one hour per charge. These dimensions and runtime belong to that 2014 V2 announcement; they are not independently verified performance findings.
What changed in the V2?
The reported update was an articulated plastic blade that could fold out to span pots of different sizes. New Atlas described the blade as safe for non-stick coatings and said it was intended to make cleaning and use easier. The article also reported a quieter motor as a product claim. The earlier Stirio, by comparison, required users to switch blades for different pot sizes.

How does the 27-320 retailer listing differ?
Appliances Direct has a listing for the Unikia Stirio 27-320, but it explicitly states that the product is no longer available. Its specifications should not be combined with the V2 figures above: the retailer lists a different fit range and runtime, and the available information does not establish that this listing is the same version as the V2 covered by New Atlas.

What to check in an automatic pot stirrer
If you are considering a comparable hands-free pot stirrer, verify the individual model rather than assuming the Stirio’s historical specifications apply. The category features that matter include:
- Pot diameter and depth: Confirm that the arms and blade reach the dimensions of the cookware you intend to use.
- Blade and cookware compatibility: Check the blade material and the manufacturer’s guidance for non-stick or other coated surfaces.
- Power and runtime: Determine whether the unit uses rechargeable batteries or another power source, and how long it is specified to run.
- Speed and cleaning: Check the number of speed settings and whether the blade or other food-contact parts can be removed for cleaning.
- Current availability: Confirm that the specific model is actually in stock and that its listing matches the version being sold.
