The February 10, 2025 Amazon deal was real, but its price was inconsistent: the headline said $159, while the article body listed $152 after a claimed $38 discount. The exact LEVOIT model was not clearly identified, and that price is historical—not a current offer. A properly sized purifier can reduce airborne particles, but it cannot make allergies disappear or treat asthma.
What was the 2025 deal?
Android Headlines published the deal on February 10, 2025. Its article promoted an Amazon LEVOIT purifier and described a $38 discount, but gave two different sale prices: $159 in the headline and $152 in the body. The article used an affiliate link. It does not establish whether the offer was limited by region, stock, or a particular configuration, so the exact checkout terms cannot be reconstructed from the article alone.

The historical Amazon destination was ASIN B0BGPF71Q6: the product listing. That link does not, by itself, confirm that the listing still represents the same model or configuration.

The original article does not clearly provide a model number. It described a large-room unit with claimed coverage up to 1,800 square feet, Wi-Fi and app controls, sleep mode, a timer, a U-shaped intake, and a washable filter component. Those clues resemble large-room LEVOIT Core-series purifiers, but they are not enough to identify the sale unit as a particular model.

For comparison—not as confirmation of the 2025 deal model—LEVOIT currently identifies the Core 600S-P as model LAP-C601S-WUS. The manufacturer’s product page lists a 391 CFM CADR, rated power of 49 W, noise of 26–55 dB, and dimensions of 12.3 × 12.3 × 23.6 inches. It lists a two-year limited warranty and 30-day money-back guarantee. Check the current terms and eligibility with the seller before buying.
What current comparable specifications mean
Room size depends on air changes
LEVOIT rates the current Core 600S-P for 606 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour (ACH), or 2,909 square feet at 1 ACH. These are not equivalent levels of cleaning. ACH is the number of times the room’s air volume is theoretically filtered in an hour; a large maximum-area figure based on one air change per hour should not be read as the area receiving frequent, allergy-focused cleaning.
CADR, or clean air delivery rate, helps compare how quickly a purifier supplies filtered air. Actual performance also depends on ceiling height, room layout, open doors, airflow clearance, fan speed, and filter condition. A large open-plan area or high ceiling can exceed the conditions implied by a floor-area rating. One unit in a central room will not necessarily clean closed bedrooms effectively.

Filtration is not the same as whole-room removal
LEVOIT describes a three-stage system for the comparable Core 600S-P: a pre-filter for larger particles such as hair and dust, a main filter for fine airborne particles, and activated carbon to help reduce odors, smoke, fumes, and some volatile organic compounds (VOCs). LEVOIT states 99.97% filtration for particles down to 0.3 microns on its replacement-filter page. That is a filtration claim for particles passing through the filter, not a promise that the same percentage of all pollutants in an entire room will be removed.
Particles must become airborne and pass through the unit to be captured. Pet hair on the floor, allergens in upholstery, pollen tracked indoors, dust mites, and mold growing on surfaces require other control measures. Activated carbon may help with some odors and gases, but a portable purifier is not a replacement for ventilation or removing the source.
Can it help with allergies?
A suitably sized portable air cleaner can reduce airborne particles such as pollen, smoke, dust, and some pet-dander particles. That can improve indoor air quality and may reduce exposure to airborne triggers for some people. It does not eliminate the causes of allergies, guarantee symptom relief, cure asthma, or replace medical care. The original phrase “say goodbye to allergies” is an advertising promise, not a reliable health outcome.

- 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐈?𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄: Purify your air quickly. With a traditional air inlet and the additional U-shaped air inlet, airborne pet hairs and odors can easily be trapped without causing clogs
The EPA’s technical summary of residential air cleaners emphasizes choosing an appropriately sized cleaner, ensuring a snug filter fit, and replacing filters as directed. Pair filtration with source control: clean surfaces, wash bedding, address moisture, and follow a clinician’s treatment plan. For mold, fixing the moisture problem and removing contaminated material are essential; filtration alone is inadequate.
What “washable filter” should mean
The deal article’s reference to washable filters should not be taken to mean the whole filter cartridge can be washed. Current LEVOIT material distinguishes the cleanable pre-filter from the main filter and carbon components. Clean only the component and in the manner the model’s manual permits; washing the complete cartridge when it is not designed for washing can damage it.
LEVOIT says the comparable Core 600S-P replacement filter typically lasts 6–12 months, depending on use and air quality. Smoke, heavy dust, pets, or other pollution may shorten that interval. The main filter is a recurring cost, not a washable-filter saving. Check compatibility before purchasing replacements: the company lists model-specific filters and warns that non-genuine filters may affect performance or the filter-life indicator. Its original replacement filter page is one place to confirm the correct part.

Smart controls, noise, and placement
For the current Core 600S-P, LEVOIT lists app control, scheduling, filter-life monitoring, air-quality updates, Auto Mode, a PM2.5 display, and Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. Remote control and scheduling can help when the unit is in a bedroom or hard-to-reach spot. Auto Mode responds to the unit’s particle sensor; a PM2.5 reading is not a direct measure of pollen, dust mites, or every indoor pollutant. Smart features require setup and connectivity. Use the model’s onboard controls if you prefer not to use Wi-Fi, subject to the controls available on that unit.
The listed noise range is 26–55 dB, with the low end associated with quieter operation and the high end with stronger airflow. If a quiet low setting does not move enough air for the room, cleaning may be less effective. The rated power is 49 W; actual electricity use depends on speed and hours of operation.
- Place the purifier in the room where people spend the most time and leave the intake and exhaust unobstructed.
- Avoid tucking it behind furniture, a curtain, or close against a wall.
- Run it for sustained periods when airborne allergens are active; consider higher speed when the extra airflow is needed.
- When outdoor pollen or smoke is high, keep doors and windows closed where practical, while maintaining ventilation when needed for safety or other reasons.
For wildfire smoke, the EPA recommends preparing a cleaner-air room and using a portable air cleaner; see its wildfire-smoke guidance. Smoke can load a filter faster, so inspect it and follow the manufacturer’s replacement guidance.

What does it cost now?
The $159/$152 offer belongs to February 2025 and is not evidence of today’s price. Around August 16–18, 2026, LEVOIT’s page for the current Core 600S-P showed $269.99, reduced from a $299.99 list price. An Amazon listing for that comparable model showed $259.99 against a $299.99 list price during the same observation period. These are dated price observations, not guaranteed checkout prices; seller, stock, shipping, coupons, and terms can change. Compare the exact model and seller before ordering.
Budget for the replacement filter as well as electricity and any additional units needed for separate rooms or floors. The filter’s typical 6–12-month interval is a manufacturer estimate that varies with use and air quality; the linked filter page should be checked for current price and availability.
Who should consider it—and who should skip it?
It may suit you if
- You want to reduce airborne particles in a room that fits the unit’s rating at the air-change rate you need.
- You have pollen, dust, smoke, or airborne pet-dander concerns and understand that settled allergens need separate cleaning.
- App control, scheduling, or automatic fan adjustment would be useful.
- You can place the unit with clear airflow and are comfortable with ongoing filter replacement.
Look elsewhere or address the source first if
- You expect an allergy cure, asthma treatment, or guaranteed symptom improvement.
- Your main problem is mold growth or moisture, rather than airborne particles.
- You need whole-home filtration through an HVAC system or want one unit to serve several closed rooms.
- You want odor removal only; the activated-carbon capacity of a portable purifier may be limited compared with a dedicated source-control approach.
- You do not want a connected appliance, cannot maintain the unit, or cannot confirm genuine replacement-filter availability and cost.
For formal allergy-focused product certification, compare products listed in the Asthma & Allergy Friendly product guide rather than treating a HEPA-related marketing phrase as certification. For severe symptoms or asthma, rely on a clinician’s advice.
