Which Samsung washer setting should you choose?

How to find the right cycle on your model
- Check the washer’s cycle list. Look at the control panel for TOWELS, or consult the manual for the exact model. Samsung says cycle availability and settings vary by model. Samsung Canada and Samsung UK both advise checking model-specific cycle information.
- Read the towel’s care label. Use it to decide which water temperatures and treatments are permitted. In particular, do not select hot water for a colored or delicate towel based only on general advice for white laundry.
- Choose the cycle that fits both. Use TOWELS when present and appropriate; otherwise consider Normal for everyday cotton towels. Follow the washer manual if it gives different directions.
- Keep the load within the model’s guidance. Samsung’s US towel-cycle guidance recommends no more than half a load (6 pounds) of towels for best results on the models covered by that page. Can you wash towels in hot water?
Only use hot water when the towel’s care label allows it. Samsung recommends the Whites/Hot cycle for white items, including towels, that can withstand hot water; if Whites is not available, its US guidance says to use Normal. How much detergent should you use, and what about bleach?
Use detergent suitable for the towel and washer, following the product directions and the washer manual. Samsung’s white-towel instructions direct users to put detergent in the detergent drawer. Bleach is not required for an ordinary towel wash. If you choose an appropriate whitener for white towels, check both the towel and washer instructions; Samsung specifically says not to put chlorine bleach in the detergent compartment. Cycle names, temperature choices, and availability vary by model and market, so a setting shown for one Samsung washer may not appear on yours. Use the manual or official support page for your exact model rather than applying another model’s chart.
