Investing.com said the 2026 estimate included incremental margin pressure in Polyurethanes. It reported the quarterly Q3 estimate as unchanged even as the annual estimates for 2026 through 2028 were trimmed; these are different forecast periods, not a contradiction.
How does weak construction demand affect the outlook?
Demand weakness matters because construction-related activity is one of the pressures Investing.com attributed to the Wells Fargo view of Huntsman. The report paired that demand concern with challenging MDI margins, pointing to pressure on profitability as well as end-market activity. It did not quantify construction’s share of Huntsman revenue or provide a separate demand forecast, so the reported rationale does not establish how much of the estimate reductions came from construction specifically.

What valuation basis was reported for the $9 target?
Investing.com said the $9 target was based on 9x 2027 estimated EV/EBITDA. It also cited Huntsman trailing-twelve-month EBITDA of $281 million, without explaining the detailed valuation model or independently sourcing that figure. The report does not provide enough assumptions to reconstruct the target, and the multiple is an analyst valuation input rather than a guarantee of share-price performance.
