Weave Robotics’ Isaac 0 is a real, limited-release home product—not a nationwide launch and not a general-purpose household robot. The stationary machine folds and sorts many types of clean laundry, but it does not wash, dry, collect, or put clothes away. It is currently offered to California residents for $249 per month, or $3,999 upfront plus $49 per month, and difficult loads may require intervention from a remote Weave specialist.
What Isaac 0 actually is
San Francisco startup Weave Robotics announced Isaac 0 on February 11, 2026. The company describes it as an early-release prototype focused narrowly on folding laundry before it develops more capable mobile robots.

As of August 18, 2026, Weave says Isaac 0 is shipping in limited quantities to California residents. Its order page lists an estimated four-to-six-week delivery window for California customers, but it does not establish a nationwide launch date.
Isaac 0 is a stationary appliance. The customer brings clean laundry to its work area, places the garments within reach, and puts the finished items away afterward. The robot does not handle dirty laundry, washing, drying, wardrobe storage, or the complete laundry cycle.
#1 Best Overall
- PP composite material is with better toughness, anti-aging, more than 3-year service life.
- Solve the family's troubles that too many T-shirts, sweaters, dresses, towels, pants and other clothes need to be folded.
- No assembly required, 2 silicone buckles firmly connect panels. Even if there is a severe collision, the shirt folder will not fall apart.
- Both adults and children can operate with one hand, making it convenient and simple to fold clothes. The shirt folding board can easily organize the entire wardrobe without too many steps.
- The folded size is 9"x11.4" and 1.3 pounds. Clothes folders can be easily stored in a drawer or a suitcase. The unfolded size is 27.16"x22.44", and clothes of different sizes can be folded.
Weave’s product page lists support for:
- T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts
- Hoodies and sweaters
- Pants and shorts
- Pajamas and undergarments
- Towels and pillowcases
- Some sheets and other household laundry
The company also says it can sort items into categories such as shirts, pants, towels, pillowcases, and bed sheets. Coverage is still evolving: large blankets and some bed-sheet configurations may not be supported.
How the folding process works
- Wash and dry the clothing separately.
- Bring the clean laundry to Isaac 0.
- Place the unsorted items in its work area.
- Let the robot identify, fold, sort, and stack the garments.
- Put the completed stacks away yourself.
Weave estimates that an average load takes approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size and garment mix. That is a company estimate rather than an independently verified performance test. Isaac 0’s main benefit is removing the chore from the household, not necessarily folding a small load faster than a person.
It is autonomous—but not fully autonomous
Isaac 0 combines automated manipulation with remote human assistance. If the robot encounters an unfamiliar garment, a difficult fold, or another problem, a Weave specialist can view the relevant feeds and intervene remotely. Weave says the correction is typically brief and that the system learns from corrections through software, model, and hardware updates.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThat makes “autonomous folding with remote assistance” a more accurate description than “fully autonomous” or “AI-only.” The human-in-the-loop system is part of how the product is designed to complete difficult tasks rather than simply stopping at the first error.
Weave says specialists receive the visual feeds and diagnostic information needed for an intervention, including head and wrist views, and that no audio is collected. However, prospective buyers should still check the company’s current privacy terms for video retention, access controls, operator location, training-data use, and whether remote access can be disabled.

Space, power, and app requirements
The robot itself measures approximately 18 inches wide by 19 inches deep, with an adjustable height from 2 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches. That compact base does not represent the space a buyer needs to reserve.
Weave recommends a 48-by-30-inch table and says the complete operating area is approximately 6 by 5 feet, including the table and room for handling laundry. Apartment residents should measure the entire working zone rather than relying on the robot’s base dimensions.
- Power: 600 watts from a 120V U.S. outlet
- Connectivity: Ethernet or 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi
- Control: iOS companion app
- Android: Not currently supported according to Weave’s FAQ
- Mechanical structure: Four-axis neck, two six-axis arms, two one-axis hands, and a one-axis torso
Who should consider Isaac 0?
Isaac 0 is most plausible for a California household that produces a large amount of laundry, has a dedicated six-by-five-foot work area, can use the iOS app, and is comfortable with an early-release product that may involve remote human intervention.
It may also interest affluent early adopters who value reducing a repetitive chore more than maximizing financial savings. Weave says the system has accumulated more than 2,000 hours in the field and folds more than 1,000 pounds of laundry weekly, but these are company-reported figures rather than independently audited reliability benchmarks.

Weave also says Isaac 0 is being used in homes and businesses including laundromats, hotels, and gyms. Business operators should request commercial terms directly because home pricing and consumer warranty terms may not apply to those deployments. See the company’s business information for context.
Who should skip it?
- Anyone outside California who needs a product available now.
- Households seeking a machine that washes, dries, collects, or stores clothes.
- People without a permanent six-by-five-foot operating area.
- Privacy-sensitive buyers who object to remote viewing inside the home.
- Buyers who do not want a recurring subscription.
- Small households whose laundry volume is too low to justify the cost.
- Anyone expecting every garment, blanket, or bedding configuration to work without assistance.
Common failure points and practical limits
Large blankets and some bulky bedding may be outside the current capability. Inside-out, tightly tangled, unusually wrinkled, wet, or unfamiliar garments may require additional assistance. The customer may also need to clear or rearrange the work area before a load can continue.
Because performance depends on the garment mix, the company’s 30-to-90-minute estimate should not be treated as a guaranteed completion time. The field-use figures published by Weave likewise should not be mistaken for an independent long-term reliability study.
Isaac 0 versus Isaac 1
Weave’s planned Isaac 1 is intended to be a mobile home robot rather than a stationary folding appliance. The company says it will eventually handle tasks such as picking up dirty clothes, managing hampers, folding, putting clothes away, making beds, and tidying rooms.
As of August 18, 2026, Weave lists Isaac 1 at $449 per month or $7,999 upfront, with a fully refundable $250 preorder deposit. California deliveries are scheduled to begin in fall 2026, with broader U.S. availability planned through 2027. Those are future availability plans, not a currently available nationwide alternative. Details are listed on the Isaac 1 product page and preorder page.
Questions to resolve before ordering
- Can the subscription be canceled after delivery?
- Does the robot remain usable if payments stop?
- What exactly does the active-subscription warranty cover?
- Are installation, shipping, and on-site service included?
- How often does a typical load require remote intervention?
- Are camera feeds stored, and for how long?
- Can a customer refuse remote access?
- What happens if Weave discontinues the service?
- Can the robot be moved to another address?
- Are replacement parts and repairs available outside California?
Bottom line
Isaac 0 is a genuine but narrow early consumer robot: it can fold many types of clean laundry, and it is already shipping in limited quantities in California. It is not a humanoid, a complete laundry system, or a hands-off appliance. Buyers must supply the clean clothes, provide substantial floor and table space, maintain internet access, and accept that a remote Weave specialist may help complete difficult folds.
For the right California early adopter, the $249 monthly plan lowers the entry cost. For anyone expecting nationwide availability or full household automation, Isaac 0 is still too limited.
