Quick verdict: Walmart really did offer the standard Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Maker for $149, down from $199, during a Labor Day promotion reported on August 27, 2024. That $50-off deal is historical, not a currently verified promotion. Walmart’s latest surfaced listing showed the standard NC300 at about $169, so check the exact product page and final cart price before buying.

What the original Walmart deal included

The deal covered the standard Ninja CREAMi, not every product sold under the CREAMi name. TechRadar reported the machine at $149, reduced from a listed price of $199. That represented a $50 saving, or 25%, and was presented as part of Walmart’s Labor Day sale on August 27, 2024.

Because Walmart promotions depend on inventory, seller, location, color and fulfillment method, the offer was time-sensitive. The original coverage should not be read as proof that the same price is available today.

Is the $50-off Ninja CREAMi deal still available?

There is no current verification of the original $149 price. Walmart’s latest surfaced results showed a standard CREAMi NC300 listing at approximately $169, displayed against a $199 reference price. That is still below the cited $199 price, but it is $20 more than the historical Labor Day offer.

Which Ninja CREAMi model was discounted?

The original deal was for the standard CREAMi Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Maker. Current Walmart results identify the standard series with model numbers such as NC300WH, while other listings may show a different color or suffix.

Before buying, confirm the exact model number, color, seller, condition, included containers and fulfillment method. “Ninja CREAMi” is not one single product: Walmart also sells the larger CREAMi Deluxe and the newer CREAMi Scoop & Swirl.

What the standard CREAMi can make

For the specific standard model covered by the deal, the advertised functions include:

Rank #2
Ninja NC501 CREAMi XL Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Maker, with 2 XL Family Size Pint Containers
  • ORIGINAL CREAMi XL DELUXE: The first-generation CREAMi XL Deluxe — 11 one-touch programs including ice cream, sorbet, gelato, Italian ice, and frozen yogurt.
  • XL CAPACITY: Create family-sized treats with (2) 24 oz. XL Tubs — 50% more capacity than the original CREAMi pint.
  • DUAL PROCESSING: Turn one frozen base into two separate mix-in flavors in the same tub.
  • TOTAL INGREDIENT CONTROL: Dial in low-sugar, protein-packed, dairy-free, and other customized treats.
  • EASY TO USE: Just 3 simple steps — prepare, freeze, process, and enjoy.
  • Ice cream
  • Sorbet
  • Lite ice cream
  • Milkshakes
  • Custom flavors and mix-ins

One-touch programs and dishwasher-safe components are part of the model’s appeal. The machine is designed around individual frozen-dessert containers, allowing users to prepare different flavors rather than making one large batch.

It is not an instant, pour-and-serve ice-cream maker. You generally freeze the prepared base in a container first, then process it in the machine. That means you need freezer space and advance planning.

Check the package contents carefully

There is a discrepancy in the available descriptions. The 2024 TechRadar article says the deal included three 16-ounce dessert tubs with lids. Walmart’s more recent NC300 search result says the standard listing includes two 16-ounce containers and lids.

Different bundles, colors, regional listings or packaging revisions may explain the difference. Do not assume that every NC300 listing includes three containers. Use the selected Walmart product page’s “What’s included” section as the final authority for that particular SKU.

Is the standard CREAMi a good buy at today’s price?

Price Buying assessment
$149 Excellent; this matches the historical Labor Day deal.
$169 Good, but $20 higher than the historic offer.
$199 Reference pricing; consider waiting if you do not need it immediately.
$249.99 or more Compare carefully with the larger CREAMi Deluxe before buying.

These are practical buying guidelines based on the cited Walmart and TechRadar prices, not a verified price-history chart. Walmart’s displayed “was” price also does not prove that $199 was the lowest or most consistent recent price.

Standard CREAMi vs. newer models

Standard CREAMi, NC300 series

The standard model is the lower-cost entry point. Its 16-ounce containers suit individual portions and households that want to prepare several flavors separately. It is the most relevant model if your target price is $149 to $169.

CREAMi Deluxe, NC501

Walmart’s surfaced NC501 listing showed a price of approximately $249.99, two 24-ounce tubs and 11 programs. It is a better fit for larger portions or families, but it costs substantially more than the standard model.

CREAMi Scoop & Swirl, NC701

The Scoop & Swirl is a newer, more expensive model aimed at soft-serve-style output and additional frozen-dessert functions. Walmart’s surfaced listing was approximately $349. It is not a like-for-like budget alternative to a $149 or $169 standard CREAMi.

What to verify before checkout

  1. Exact model: Confirm that the listing is the standard NC300-series machine rather than a Deluxe or Scoop & Swirl model.
  2. Container size and count: Check whether the bundle includes two or three 16-ounce containers, and whether lids are included.
  3. Seller and condition: Confirm whether the item is new and sold by Walmart or a marketplace seller.
  4. Final price: Select the color and delivery method, then check the cart total.
  5. Availability: Enter your ZIP code to see whether delivery, pickup and inventory change.
  6. Returns and warranty: Review the applicable Walmart return terms and manufacturer warranty.
  7. Accessory compatibility: If buying extra pints, verify that they fit the same CREAMi series.

Should you buy the standard Ninja CREAMi?

The standard model makes the most sense if you want individual portions, customizable frozen desserts and a lower entry price. A price near $149 is an especially strong buy based on the 2024 Walmart promotion; approximately $169 can still be reasonable if you want the machine now.

Wait or compare with the Deluxe if you need larger containers, more programs or family-sized portions. Choose the Scoop & Swirl only if soft-serve-style functionality justifies its much higher price. For smoothies, frozen cocktails or recipes that do not require the CREAMi’s pre-freezing workflow, a conventional blender or food processor may be a better fit.
