If you want one appliance that pressure cooks and air fries, the choice in 2026 comes down to three things: capacity, whether the model uses separate lids, and how much counter and cabinet space you can give it. The five models below are the five current pressure cooker air fryer combo entries in Instant Pot’s Air Fryer collection. They are a selection of listed products, not five models that were all independently tested, and no source ranks them as a single overall winner.
The five models at a glance
Four of the five use a two-lid design built on the Duo Crisp or Pro Crisp platform. The fifth family, the Ultimate Lid models, is a different configuration, so check its manual before assuming it works like the others.

The five models in detail
Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer 8QT
This is the largest two-lid option in the lineup. Instant Pot’s product page lists an 8-quart capacity, 11-in-1 functionality and two interchangeable lids. Included accessories are a basket, a broil/dehydrator tray, a steam rack and a stainless inner pot, among others. The manufacturer describes the capacity as “perfect for up to 8 servings—ideal for families, meal prep, and batch cooking.” That is marketing copy, not a serving-size test, so treat “8 servings” as the company’s estimate.
Instant Pot Pro Crisp & Air Fryer 8QT
The Pro Crisp shares the 8-quart size and uses two removable lids. The product page lists 11 functions, a 1500W rating on 120V/60Hz power, and more than 10 safety mechanisms. The “Pro” name describes the product line and its feature list, not measured cooking performance. Confirm the included accessories on the product page before you buy, since the accessory list is not established for this article.

Instant Pot Duo Crisp 6QT
This is the smaller two-lid choice, with a 6-quart capacity, 11-in-1 functionality and the SKU 112-0120-01 listed on Instant Pot’s page. Its FAQ includes the transition steps covered in the switching section below. Confirm the SKU and current stock on the live page, because regional variants and inventory change.
Instant Pot Duo Crisp 6.5QT with Ultimate Lid
This model sits in the 6.5-quart size with the Ultimate Lid configuration. Instant Pot’s comparison page lists 13 modes for the 6.5QT Duo Crisp, the highest function count in this group. A higher count does not mean better results: the modes overlap, and the page does not show what each one does differently. Because the Ultimate Lid is a distinct design, read the manual for the exact lid handling and included equipment before you rely on the mode list.
Instant Pot Duo Crisp 6.5QT with Ultimate Lid Smart
This is the connected variant of the 6.5-quart Ultimate Lid model. The sources establish that it is listed as a separate smart model, but they do not establish a mode count or any performance difference from the non-smart version. Choose it for its connectivity features, not on the assumption that it cooks better.

What the air-frying reports show
Independent testing covers only a few products, and each reviewer used a different protocol, so these findings cannot be ranked against each other.

Food Network’s 2025 review of the Ninja Foodi Pro 11-in-1 Pressure Cooker reported crisp fries. In a separate review, TechRadar’s tester of a Duo Crisp found that chunky fries were not crisp enough. The size of the Duo Crisp tested and the exact test conditions are not established here, so the two results should not be read as a head-to-head verdict on any model.
Slow cooking: an anecdotal result
In TechRadar’s review, tester Helen McCue wrote that “Slow-cooked beef chili was a success.” After six hours on the low setting, she reported that “the chili had a great flavor and the meat was soft and tender.” This is one tester’s dish result, not a general measure of slow-cooking performance.

Manufacturer claims
Instant Pot’s product pages advertise “up to 70% faster than traditional slow cooking methods” and “95% less oil than traditional deep frying” for the cited models. These are manufacturer claims. The test conditions, the foods used and the comparison baselines are not established, so do not treat either figure as a measured result for your kitchen.

The two-lid models require a deliberate changeover. Instant Pot’s Duo Crisp 6QT FAQ gives this sequence:

Capacity and batch size
Nominal capacity is the only figure the manufacturer pages state for the pot itself. The sources do not give usable basket space or the number of batches a model can air-fry at once, so compare the models on total size and then check the basket dimensions in the manual. A useful rule: for a household of four or more, the 8-quart models are the only ones that fit the manufacturer’s “up to 8 servings” framing. For smaller households, the 6-quart and 6.5-quart models are a reasonable size, though the basket size should be checked against the amount of food you normally air-fry.
Storage and lid space
Two-lid designs need room for a second lid. TechRadar describes the Duo Crisp as bulky, and Instant Pot’s product pages list several accessories that also need a place to be stored. The sources do not give overall dimensions for any of the five models, so measure the cabinet or counter space before you buy and allow room for the lid and accessories to sit beside the pot.
Outside reference: Ninja Foodi Pro
The Ninja Foodi Pro 11-in-1 Pressure Cooker is not one of the five Instant Pot models. Food Network’s 2025 review gives it a 6.5-quart total capacity and a 4.6-quart capacity with the crisper plate in place. Its testing reported crisp fries and evenly cooked rice. Confirm the exact current model number on Ninja’s own product page before you compare it with the Instant Pot lineup.
Price and availability
Prices, promotions and stock change often, and this comparison does not list them. Check the manufacturer’s listing or a retailer page on the day you buy, and confirm the SKU matches the model you are comparing.
Quick Recap
How to choose
- Household size: choose the 8-quart Duo Crisp or Pro Crisp for larger households, and the 6-quart or 6.5-quart models for smaller ones.
- Lid handling: if you want two separate lids, pick a Duo Crisp or Pro Crisp. If you want the Ultimate Lid design, read its manual first.
- Connectivity: the Smart variant is the only connected model in this group.
- Counter and cabinet space: measure before you buy, and plan for the second lid and accessories.
