Two major Quad Cities apartment developments are scheduled for ribbon-cuttings this week. Timber Ridge Apartments in Davenport is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, while Muscatine’s Lumber Lofts is scheduled for noon Thursday, Oct. 29. Both ceremonies are planned to include speakers and building tours, as the projects prepare to welcome residents.

Who developed Lumber Lofts, and what was on the site?
The City of Muscatine and Build To Suit of Bettendorf are among the project partners. The team also includes Aspect Architecture of Cedar Rapids; Martin & Whitacre Surveyors and Engineering of Muscatine; and McClure of Clive for structural and civil engineering.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority approved $1 million in tax credits and tax refunds for the project. Lumber Lofts occupies a two-acre site formerly used by Hawkeye Lumber. Before construction, the property had also been used to dump mud and other debris from Mississippi River dredging.
