The Ultimate Creality Falcon Laser Engraver Buyer’s Guide for Black Friday 2025

Which Creality Falcon should you buy? Compare the A1, A1 Pro, Falcon2 Pro 22W, 40W, and 60W models, then judge Black Friday value without confusing current prices with 2025 deals.

Editor’s note: This is an archived buying guide for the Black Friday 2025 cycle, which ended on November 28, 2025. Prices, stock, bundles, firmware, warranties, and support policies may have changed since then. Current store prices should not be treated as Black Friday 2025 prices.

The right Creality Falcon depends on what you make. Choose the enclosed Falcon A1 10W for beginner crafts and smaller projects; the Falcon A1 Pro 20W for a faster, more flexible desktop workflow; the Falcon2 Pro 40W for serious plywood cutting and small-business production; and the Falcon2 Pro 60W only when you will regularly use its extra cutting capacity. For fine marking on some metals and plastics, the A1 Pro’s optional 2W infrared module may be useful—but it does not turn the machine into a fiber laser.

Creality Falcon models at a glance

“Creality Falcon” describes a family of machines rather than one standardized engraver. The lineup includes compact enclosed A1 models, larger Falcon2 and Falcon2 Pro diode machines, and the substantially more specialized Falcon T1.

Buyer need Best starting point Why Avoid it if…
Gifts, ornaments, signs, and small wood projects Falcon A1 10W Compact enclosed design, camera-assisted positioning, and a lower entry cost You need thick plywood, large panels, or high-volume cutting
Faster cutting and mixed materials Falcon A1 Pro 20W More diode power, CoreXY motion, and an optional infrared module You assume the IR module is included or need a large 400 × 400 mm work area
Larger flat projects Falcon2 Pro 22W Larger work area and stronger cutting platform than the A1 Your projects are small and workspace is limited
Small-business cutting Falcon2 Pro 40W A practical balance of cutting capacity, work area, and price You mainly engrave thin materials and do not need the extra power
Maximum diode cutting capacity Falcon2 Pro 60W Highest listed optical power in the Falcon2 Pro range You cannot justify the cost, footprint, or additional fire-management demands
Professional bare-metal marking Consider a fiber, UV, MOPA, or similar professional system Those are different laser categories designed for capabilities a blue diode may not provide You only need occasional coated-metal marking

The official Falcon A1 collection lists 10W and 20W A1 models, while the Falcon2 Pro listing covers 22W, 40W, and 60W variants.

What laser wattage really tells you

For cutting comparisons, focus on optical power: the laser output reaching the material. Do not confuse it with:

  • Maximum machine power: electrical consumption or the machine’s supported input rating.
  • Module power: the output of a particular blue-diode, infrared, or fine-detail module.
  • Advertised thickness: a manufacturer’s result under particular material, focus, speed, air-assist, and pass conditions.

The Falcon2 Pro product page separates “Machine Power (MAX)” from “Optical Power.” A 60W optical model is not automatically 2.7 times faster than a 22W model. Useful throughput also depends on material density, focus, air assist, motion speed, edge-quality requirements, and the number of passes.

Falcon A1 versus Falcon A1 Pro

Falcon A1 10W

The A1 is the sensible first purchase for modest home, classroom, and craft work. Creality describes it as a fully enclosed Class 1 machine with camera positioning and an advertised maximum motion speed of up to 600 mm/s. That speed is a motion specification, not a promise that it will cut every material at 600 mm/s.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Its main compromises are the 10W optical output and smaller project capacity. It is a good fit for engraving gifts, leather goods, cardboard, bamboo, ornaments, and thin wood. It is a poor fit for frequent thick-plywood cutting or large-format signs.

Falcon A1 Pro 20W

The A1 Pro is the more capable compact option. Its 20W blue-diode system is better suited to cutting and demanding engraving, while its CoreXY motion system and enclosed workflow appeal to users who value speed and repeatability.

The “dual-laser” description requires care. The 2W infrared module is a separate purchase according to the A1 documentation and product listing. It can expand marking options for some bare metals and plastics, but infrared marking is not the same process as blue-diode wood cutting and is not a substitute for a fiber laser.

Falcon2 versus Falcon2 Pro

These names are similar but should not be treated as interchangeable. Creality’s Falcon2 documentation covers 12W, 22W, and 40W machines. The separate Falcon2 Pro manual documents Pro-specific controls and 22W, 40W, and 60W configurations.

Before paying, verify the exact listing for:

  • Enclosure and lid-interlock behavior.
  • Optical power and installed laser module.
  • Actual work area.
  • Included or optional air assist.
  • Camera and positioning features.
  • Rotary compatibility and required risers.
  • Whether a fine-detail module is included.
  • Whether the product is a base machine or a bundle.

The Falcon2 Pro page describes a work area of approximately 400 × 400 mm, integrated air assist, camera positioning, and a 1.6W fine-detail module on the 40W and 60W versions. The same page shows configuration-dependent dimensions and work areas, including approximately 400 × 415 mm for one configuration. Check the selected variant rather than relying on a single range-wide specification.

22W, 40W, or 60W?

Choose 22W when value and moderate cutting matter

A 22W Falcon2 Pro is a sensible step up from a 10W machine for signs, ornaments, leather, moderate plywood, and occasional cutting. It costs less and may be easier to justify for a beginner who wants extra capacity without immediately buying the largest model.

Choose 40W for the best production balance

The 40W model is the strongest general recommendation for a small maker business that cuts plywood regularly. It offers more useful headroom for thicker stock and fewer-pass workflows without automatically committing to the highest price. It is still unnecessary for an engraving-only user.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose 60W only for sustained cutting demand

The 60W model makes sense when thick wood, frequent cutting, and production throughput are central to the business. Creality lists headline capabilities including up to 22 mm basswood, up to 30 mm black acrylic, and 0.2 mm stainless-steel marking for the relevant configuration. These are manufacturer-specified figures, not universal results: plywood glue, moisture, flatness, focus, lens cleanliness, airflow, speed, and pass count can change the outcome substantially.

For occasional gifts or thin craft stock, the 60W is usually overbuying. Its higher price does not improve every engraving workflow proportionally.

Materials: what to expect

Commonly useful materials

  • Basswood and suitable plywood.
  • Cardboard and paper.
  • Bamboo.
  • Leather with known composition.
  • Some acrylic and rubber products.
  • Coated or anodized surfaces, depending on the coating and laser wavelength.

Materials requiring qualification

Blue-diode lasers generally struggle with clear acrylic because transparent material does not absorb blue light effectively. Dark acrylic is more promising, but results still depend on its formulation.

Blue-diode marking on bare metal is not equivalent to fiber-laser marking. Coated or anodized metals may engrave by removing or changing the coating. Some stainless steel may require marking spray, a coating, or an appropriate infrared or fiber process. The A1 Pro’s optional IR module broadens the possibilities for some metals and plastics, but compatibility remains material-specific.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Never cut PVC, vinyl, unknown plastics, or material with an uncertain coating. Labels such as “leather,” “rubber,” or “acrylic” do not prove that a particular product is safe. Check the composition and the current machine manual before use.

Enclosure, ventilation, and fire safety

Creality markets the A1 and A1 Pro as enclosed Class 1 designs and describes features including lid-opening shutdown, flame detection, tilt/drop emergency stop, airflow monitoring, and smoke containment or filtering. Those are manufacturer claims; they are not a reason to treat laser work as unattended or universally safe.

A Class 1 enclosure does not make every material safe. A built-in filter does not necessarily eliminate the need for external exhaust, and protective goggles cannot compensate for unsuitable material or poor ventilation.

Set up every Falcon on a stable, nonflammable surface with adequate lid clearance and space for cables, exhaust, and airflow. Plan how smoke will leave the room or be filtered, and check the cost and availability of replacement filters. Keep a suitable fire extinguisher nearby, remain present during every job, and stop immediately if material flames, airflow falls, or the exhaust path is blocked.

Workspace and footprint

The nominal engraving area is not the whole installation requirement. Include the machine footprint, lid clearance, rear exhaust space, cable routing, access for maintenance, and room for stock and a fire-safe work surface.

The Falcon2 Pro listing gives approximate machine dimensions of 664 × 570 × 328.4 mm, but the selected wattage and configuration can affect the stated work area. A rotary attachment can further reduce usable workspace and may require risers. Do not assume that a full-size sheet fits simply because the nominal engraving area is listed as 400 × 400 mm. Confirm whether pass-through work is supported and whether the lid can close with the intended accessory installed.

Software and camera workflow

Creality lists three principal software paths for Falcon machines:

  • Falcon Design Space: the lowest-friction starting point for importing designs and using basic positioning.
  • LaserGRBL: a free option commonly used in Windows workflows.
  • LightBurn: a more capable paid controller for advanced layout, repeatability, and camera workflows.

The Falcon2 Pro listing names Falcon Design Space, LightBurn, and LaserGRBL and lists Windows and macOS support. Confirm the exact model’s LightBurn device profile, camera-calibration support, operating-system compatibility, firmware requirements, and offline behavior before buying. Software features are not necessarily identical across the Falcon range.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A camera preview improves placement, batch work, and use of irregular blanks, but it is not perfect alignment. Lens distortion, calibration, material height, and stock movement all matter. Calibrate the camera, frame the job, and run a test outline before committing an expensive blank.

Air assist, filtration, and smoke management

Air assist directs airflow at the cut. It helps move smoke away, reduce soot and scorching, support cleaner edges, and limit contamination of the lens. It does not replace ventilation, filtration maintenance, fire supervision, or safe material selection.

Compare the actual included hardware rather than labels such as “air assist” or “air purification.” Check whether the system includes an air pump, external exhaust, a filter, or only an enclosure. Account for noise, hose routing, filter replacement, and the difference between recirculating filtration and exhausting smoke outdoors.

Rotary engraving

Rotary hardware is not universal across Falcon models. Before adding a rotary kit, verify the compatible machine, whether risers are required, maximum tumbler diameter and length, roller versus chuck design, lid clearance, and whether camera alignment remains usable.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Creality lists rotary kits, risers, rollers, and flexible fixtures separately in its accessories collection and rotary category. Buy the exact accessory specified for your model, not merely one that appears visually similar.

Black Friday 2025: how to judge a deal

Exact US Black Friday 2025 transaction prices cannot be established from present-day product pages alone. Current prices, crossed-out reference prices, and sale banners are not proof of what a machine cost on November 28, 2025. They should not be presented as historical Black Friday prices.

For an archived deal, label the evidence accurately as reported, advertised, or verified at the time. If historical retailer evidence is unavailable, use a threshold framework instead:

  1. Record the exact model and optical wattage.
  2. Identify the seller and country.
  3. Separate the base machine from the selected bundle.
  4. Record list price, sale price, coupon requirements, shipping, and tax.
  5. List every included accessory.
  6. Check warranty, return shipping, and delivery terms.
  7. Compare the price with the preceding 30-day price where reliable evidence exists.
  8. Calculate the cost of the accessories you would otherwise have to buy.

A 22W or 40W Falcon2 Pro bundle is worthwhile only when the included air-management, rotary, riser, software, or spare-part value matches your actual workflow. An A1 discount is attractive only if 10W power and the smaller work area meet your needs. An A1 Pro is not automatically a bargain if you also need the separate IR module, rotary hardware, filtration, and LightBurn. A 60W model should receive a substantial discount to justify its premium for casual users.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When ordering, screenshot the selected wattage, bundle contents, displayed price, delivery estimate, warranty, and return language. Variant selectors can change all of these on a single product page.

Total cost beyond the machine

  • LightBurn, if you choose it.
  • Air-assist parts or consumables.
  • Exhaust hose, outdoor venting, or an air purifier.
  • Rotary attachment, risers, and fixtures.
  • Replacement lenses or laser modules.
  • Filters, belts, fans, and other maintenance parts.
  • Fire-safety equipment.
  • Calibration blanks and test material.
  • Shipping, tax, and possible return costs.

For current support, manuals, and model-specific files, use the Falcon support page, help center, and the relevant Falcon2 Pro Wiki. Current US store pages may advertise a 14-day return service, one-year warranty, and shipping offers, but those policies are current store signals and should not automatically be backdated to Black Friday 2025.

When not to buy a Falcon

Choose a different laser category if your priority is transparent acrylic cutting, extensive thick-material production, or dependable bare-metal marking. A CO2 system is generally the more appropriate category for transparent acrylic and broader cutting capability. A fiber, UV, MOPA, or comparable professional marker is better suited to serious metal work. A cheaper enclosed 10W machine may be enough for occasional engraving, while a modular professional system may be more appropriate for sustained commercial marking.

Final decision tree

  • Buy the Falcon A1 10W if you want an enclosed beginner machine for small signs, gifts, leather, bamboo, and thin wood.
  • Buy the Falcon A1 Pro 20W if you want a compact upgrade, faster desktop workflow, and the option to add IR marking later.
  • Buy the Falcon2 Pro 22W if you need a larger work area and moderate cutting without paying for maximum power.
  • Buy the Falcon2 Pro 40W if you run a small maker business and regularly cut thicker plywood or larger batches.
  • Buy the Falcon2 Pro 60W only if you will consistently use its extra cutting capacity and the deal materially reduces its premium.
  • Skip the Falcon range if your work requires universal bare-metal marking, transparent-acrylic cutting, oversized stock, or production capability better served by another laser type.
