If you mean a wooden telephone stand table—not a small holder for a mobile phone—the WOOD Magazine plan is a two-shelf project measuring 16 inches wide × 14 inches deep × 28 inches high. It uses two matching face frames joined by a plywood box: pocket-hole screws connect the frames, and glued butt joints assemble the box.

WOOD Magazine identifies this design as featured in issue 190, May 2009. Its description calls for identical front and back face frames connected by a plywood box, which forms two shelves. The face frames are fastened with screws set in pocket holes. The plywood box uses glued butt joints. Check the scale and design before choosing a plan
“Telephone stand” and “phone stand” can refer to very different projects. Compare finished footprint and height, shelf or drawer layout, frame or leg construction, joinery, and whether the listing supplies complete build details.

Which plan fits your project?
- Choose the WOOD Magazine plan if you want the compact, two-shelf furniture design and are prepared to obtain the plan document for its exact cutting and assembly details.
- Consider the CRAFTSMANSPACE alternative if you want a taller, turned-leg stand and are comfortable with its stated intermediate difficulty.
- Consider the Woodcraft table plan if a drawer, curved work, and a listing that includes a cutting list and exploded view better fit your needs.
- Look for a device-holder plan if you mean a small stand for a mobile phone rather than a piece of furniture.
Before you start building
- Confirm that the selected plan is furniture-scale and verify its finished dimensions against the intended room and use.
- Obtain the complete plan and review its cut list, stock sizes, shelf positions, fastener specifications, and assembly order.
