It works with Qi-compatible phones and wireless-charging earbuds, but smartwatches are not supported. Charging can also slow down or fail if the phone is misaligned, the case is too thick, or the case contains a metal plate or other magnetic accessory. Remove those obstructions and place the device directly over the charging coil. The charging area should be dried immediately if it gets wet.

Air-cleaning performance: promising claims, limited comparison data
SwitchBot says the table uses a HEPA filter with 360-degree air intake and purification. Its product page claims the filter removes 99.97% of PM2.5, bacteria, and dust. SwitchBot also claims 93.45% pet-hair removal and says the activated-carbon filter removes 98.18% of odors in 30 minutes.

A particle-filtration claim is not the same as a guarantee that every allergen, gas, or pollutant will be removed.

HEPA filtration addresses airborne particles such as dust and PM2.5. Activated carbon can reduce some odors, but its capacity is finite and it is not equivalent to removing every gaseous pollutant. Likewise, pet hair, dander, and airborne allergy particles are different things; the pet-hair percentage is not a general allergy guarantee.
SwitchBot lists automatic airflow adjustment based on air quality and a quietest operating level of 20dB. That is a manufacturer specification for the lowest stated setting, not an independent measurement or a promise that Auto mode or maximum speed will be silent.

The 5kg load rating does not make the table suitable as a seat, stool, or heavy-storage surface. The tabletop should be treated as furniture for ordinary lightweight objects.

Matter support may make cross-platform control easier, but it does not guarantee identical features in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, and the SwitchBot app. SwitchBot says an Apple Home setup still requires a compatible HomePod or Apple TV home hub. Verify the current platform, controller, firmware, and app requirements before buying.

A separate SwitchBot hub should not automatically be treated as mandatory for basic operation. It may, however, be needed for particular ecosystem functions or smart-home platforms.
Setup requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
SwitchBot’s setup instructions call for the SwitchBot App version 9.1 or newer:
- Assemble the purifier body and table section.
- Remove the plastic wrapper from the filter.
- Connect the included power adapter.
- Open the SwitchBot app and tap the + button in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Add Device.
- Under Household, select Air Purifier Table.
- Hold the purifier’s power button for two seconds.
- Wait for the Wi-Fi indicator to flash quickly, then tap Connect Device.
- Enter the name and password for a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Name the device, assign it to a room, and complete setup.
A 5GHz-only network can cause setup problems. If the device is not found, update the app, repeat the two-second button press, and confirm that a 2.4GHz network is available. For Matter pairing failures, check the target platform’s Matter controller and confirm that the firmware and app are current.

The tabletop is not waterproof
This is one of the most important practical compromises. The product looks like a coffee table, but it is also an electronic appliance with charging hardware in the surface. SwitchBot warns against placing liquids on it and says water around the wireless-charging area should be dried promptly.

Filters and ongoing cost
SwitchBot describes the HEPA filter as needing replacement approximately every six to 12 months, depending on use. The activated-carbon deodorizing filter is listed at approximately 12 months. These are usage-dependent intervals, not guarantees; the app records filter service life.
A replacement filter was listed at $39.99 on SwitchBot US at the research date. Confirm that the listing explicitly supports the Air Purifier Table before ordering, rather than assuming that every SwitchBot purifier filter is interchangeable. Electricity, filter availability, and regional pricing should be included in any ownership-cost calculation.

The answer depends on whether the furniture is useful to you. The table is most compelling when you already need a bedside or side table and want to conceal an air purifier in a room. Qi charging, lighting, fragrance features, and smart-home controls can then replace several separate objects.

SwitchBot’s standalone Air Purifier was listed at $219.99 in the US and offers a more flexible placement option without the integrated table and charging surface. A separate purifier paired with an ordinary side table may also provide more choice of CADR, room coverage, furniture style, repairability, and replacement options.
For allergy, smoke, or large-room use, prioritize independently documented CADR, verified room coverage, filter cost, and replacement availability. SwitchBot’s materials do not provide enough independently verified performance information to conclude that the Air Purifier Table is the best choice for a large room. Avoid relying on the international listing’s 3,620-square-foot figure without confirming its test method and regional documentation.
Who should buy it?
- Consider it if you need a table and purifier together, live in a small space, charge Qi devices beside the bed, own pets, or already use SwitchBot and Matter-compatible equipment.
- Skip it if you need maximum air-cleaning performance per dollar, independent CADR testing, magnetic phone alignment, smartwatch charging, battery-powered portability, or a table that can safely handle frequent drinks.
Its central trade-off is flexibility for integration. A conventional purifier can be moved, elevated, or replaced independently; the SwitchBot model saves space and looks more like furniture, but both functions are tied to the same object.

The SwitchBot Air Purifier Table is a genuine and unusual all-in-one product, not a concept or a misleading headline. Its strongest argument is convenience: it turns a necessary purifier into usable furniture while adding lighting, fragrance, charging, and smart-home features. Its weaker points are Qi1’s modest charging limits, spill risk, filter ownership costs, and the lack of enough independent air-performance data for a confident large-room recommendation.
Buy it when the table form factor solves a real space problem. If you simply want the most measurable air cleaning for your money, start with CADR and filter economics instead.
