SwitchBot previews an AI household robot, robotic arms and smarter locks at CES 2026

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

SwitchBot did not launch a clearly defined three-product retail bundle at CES 2026. Its January 4 showcase introduced a much broader “Smart Home 2.0” lineup, led by the onero H1 household robot and its associated A1 robotic arms. The presentation also covered facial-recognition locks, an AI hub, a wearable recorder, a smart weather display, a globe light and a tennis robot.

For buyers, the crucial distinction is availability: the onero H1 and A1 were presented as future preorder products, while the SwitchBot AI Hub is the clearest product currently listed for sale in the United States.

What SwitchBot actually announced

SwitchBot’s CES 2026 announcement described an ecosystem expansion rather than a conventional launch of exactly three products. The company showed:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • onero H1: a general-purpose household robot intended to perform multiple domestic tasks.
  • A1: robotic arms discussed alongside the onero H1.
  • Lock Vision: smart deadbolts with facial recognition, with palm-vein recognition on the Pro model.
  • AI Hub: a home intelligence and automation controller using local or edge AI features.
  • AI MindClip: a wearable voice recorder and searchable AI knowledge tool.
  • Weather Station: an E Ink environmental display with AI-generated briefings.
  • OBBOTO: an AI-enabled pixel globe light.
  • Acemate Tennis Robot: an AI sports robot shown as part of SwitchBot’s broader robotics activity.

The “pair of robots” in the original headline most plausibly means the onero H1 and A1 arms. However, SwitchBot’s release does not establish them as two independent, ready-to-ship consumer robots. It presents A1 as a robotic-arm system associated with the household robot.

Switchbot Smart Switch Button Pusher (Bluetooth) – Fingerbot for Rocker Switch/One-Way Buttons, App Timer Control, No Wiring, Optional Hub Required for Voice/Remote, White
  • Make any supported switch “smart” without rewiring — Control rocker switches & one-way buttons from your phone for bedroom lights, fans, or appliances you don’t want to get up to reach — not for toggle/mini switches, touch panels, or stiff/aged buttons.
  • App control + built-in timers that keep running — Set on/off schedules for morning coffee routines or nightly shutoffs — schedules run in the SwitchBot app without needing your phone nearby or a hub once set.
  • Bluetooth control included; Hub adds voice + away control — Use Bluetooth for local control, or add a SwitchBot Hub (sold separately) for remote control + voice control (Alexa/Google Assistant/Siri) and IFTTT — 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi required for hub features
  • Fast, tool-free install with stronger hold when you prep right — Stick it on in seconds with included adhesive — for best results, mount on clean, dry, smooth surfaces and allow 24 hours for full bonding before heavy use. 1-Year Warranty with Free Replacement for Quality Issues: This product comes with a 1-year warranty starting from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, if any product quality issues occur causing malfunctions or improper functioning, you can contact SwitchBot Customer Support to request a free replacement. Enjoy peace of mind with reliable after-sales support.
  • Choose the right mode for the job — Use Press Mode for button presses; use Switch Mode for pushing/pulling rocker switches (Switch Mode requires an add-on) — plus scenes and ecosystem automation via the SwitchBot app and API.

Which three products does the headline mean?

There is no officially documented three-item bundle matching the headline. Several interpretations are possible:

  1. onero H1, A1 and Lock Vision: the most natural reading if the count combines the robot, its arms and a new smart-home security product.
  2. onero H1, A1 and AI Hub: a plausible technical grouping because the AI Hub is positioned as an intelligence layer for connected devices, although the CES announcement did not define these three as a formal package.
  3. AI MindClip, Weather Station and OBBOTO: three newly introduced lifestyle products, but this interpretation does not include the robot pair.

The accurate takeaway is therefore that SwitchBot unveiled an AI-focused product lineup, not that it released three immediately available products.

onero H1: SwitchBot’s household robot

SwitchBot describes the onero H1 as a multi-task household robot for chores that are difficult for single-purpose automation. According to the company, it has 22 degrees of freedom and runs an on-device OmniSense VLA model. VLA means vision-language-action: a system intended to connect what a robot sees and understands with the physical actions it takes.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

SwitchBot says the robot combines:

  • Visual perception.
  • Depth awareness.
  • Tactile feedback.
  • Grasping and pushing.
  • The ability to open, organize and adapt to different household tasks.

Secondary coverage from Homes & Gardens described demonstrations involving dishes, laundry-related work and organizing shoes. Those examples show the intended direction, but they should not be read as a complete or guaranteed list of launch capabilities.

This is a fundamentally harder problem than robot vacuuming. A vacuum mainly needs to navigate floors and avoid obstacles. A household manipulator must identify individual objects, choose a safe grip, apply the right force, cope with clutter and recover when something moves unexpectedly. A demonstration can show that a task is possible without proving that it will be reliable in an ordinary home.

What remains unknown about onero H1

SwitchBot said the onero H1 would be available for preorder “soon,” but the primary announcement did not provide a confirmed final price, firm delivery date or ordinary retail order page. A reported target below $10,000 is not the same as a finalized manufacturer’s suggested retail price.

SwitchBot K11+ Robot Vacuum & Mop with Matter, 6000Pa Suction, 90-Day Hands-Free Self-Emptying, LDS Navigation, 3.6″ Ultra-Slim, Anti-Tangle for Pet Hair, Works with Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home
  • 90-Day Dust Storage: This robotic vacuum’s self-emptying station is smaller than an A4 sheet yet holds a 4L dust bag, holds up to 90 days of dust, which is a longer duration compared to many other models. reduces the frequency of manual emptying, enhancing convenience.
  • 6000Pa Powerful Suction: With upgraded 6000Pa suction and an advanced tangle-resistant roller brush, the K11+ robot vacuum easily lifts pet hair, dirt, and debris from carpets and hard floors, delivering stronger performance than typical 4000Pa models.
  • Anti-Tangle Twin Side Brush: The K11+ robot vacuum features a unique Anti-Tangle Twin Side Brush that reaches deep into corners and edges, effectively lifting pet hair and debris from hard-to-reach areas without tangling.
  • Smart Laser Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance: The K11+ robot vacuum with self-emptying uses advanced LDS LiDAR to map your home and plan precise cleaning routes. With PSD side sensors, it navigates smoothly around table and chair legs, while drop sensors, 1.7 cm threshold climbing, and no-go zones help it clean safely in complex, cluttered spaces with no manual prep needed.
  • Full Smart Home Compatibility: Powered by Matter for seamless native control. Works with Alexa & Google Home, with support for Apple Home and Home Assistant — no extra hub required.

Potential buyers should also wait for details on:

  • Floor-space and operating-zone requirements.
  • Performance around children, pets, stairs, water and hot appliances.
  • Training requirements for new tasks.
  • Replacement parts, servicing and warranty coverage.
  • Whether the robot can operate independently or requires cloud services.
  • How it handles dropped, fragile or incorrectly identified objects.

Until those details are published, onero H1 is best treated as a preview of SwitchBot’s robotics strategy rather than a product that can be evaluated like a shipping appliance.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What are the A1 robotic arms?

The CES release refers to “its robotic arms A1” alongside onero H1 and says both would become available for preorder. It does not provide enough verified detail to establish whether A1 is sold separately, how many arms are included, its reach or payload, its installation requirements, or whether it can function without onero H1.

That distinction matters. A1 may be an accessory or subsystem that extends the household robot’s manipulation abilities rather than a standalone robot. Buyers should not assume it is a conventional desktop or industrial robotic arm until SwitchBot publishes specifications and compatibility information.

Lock Vision and Lock Vision Pro

SwitchBot says the Lock Vision series uses 3D structured-light facial recognition, more than 2,000 infrared projection points and 3D liveness detection. The company also says facial information is stored locally and that the locks include DualPower and DualBackup systems.

The Pro version adds contactless palm-vein recognition. SwitchBot also lists Matter over Wi-Fi and direct, hub-free Apple Home integration among the platform features.

These are manufacturer claims, not independent evidence of biometric accuracy or real-world spoof resistance. Anyone considering a biometric lock should verify regional availability, security documentation, certifications, installation requirements and the company’s current policy for storing and deleting biometric data.

AI Hub: the clearest current buying option

The SwitchBot AI Hub is the strongest immediate product angle from the announcement. As listed on SwitchBot’s U.S. store, it costs $259.99. The listed dimensions are 126 × 94 × 26 millimeters, its weight is 235 grams and the page specifies a one-year warranty.

SwitchBot positions the hub as a central intelligence layer for its cameras, sensors, locks and automations. Its announced capabilities include:

  • Edge or local AI computing.
  • Vision-language-model features.
  • Unified smart-home control.
  • Understanding of events captured by connected cameras.
  • AI-powered automations.
  • Local NVR functionality through Frigate.
  • Natural-language control using OpenClaw.
  • Matter support.

The U.S. store also lists bundles with a video doorbell and PTC Plus cameras. Prices and inventory can change, so the product page should be checked before purchase.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

“Local AI” does not automatically mean that every feature works fully offline. Some functions may involve external models, accounts, cloud services or integrations. Buyers should confirm which processing happens on the hub, whether remote access requires an account, whether recordings leave the home and whether any AI features require a subscription.

The AI Hub makes most sense for an existing SwitchBot household with compatible cameras, locks, sensors and switches. It is less compelling for someone seeking a completely platform-neutral controller, a subscription-free system or a privacy-maximal home that does not use indoor cameras.

AI MindClip

AI MindClip is a wearable recorder designed to capture conversations and meetings, then create summaries, to-do lists and searchable knowledge. SwitchBot says it weighs 18 grams and supports more than 100 languages.

The company describes it as a “second brain” that can answer questions about previous conversations, reminders and learning material. That functionality is described as being powered by a subscribed cloud AI service, making privacy and recurring-cost questions central to the product.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Before using a recorder in a meeting, workplace or private conversation, check applicable consent and recording laws. Buyers should also confirm retention periods, deletion controls, export options, cloud-processing locations, subscription pricing and whether the product is shipping in their country.

Weather Station

SwitchBot’s Weather Station uses a 7.5-inch E Ink display to show indoor temperature and humidity, air-quality information, weather, a six-day forecast, sunrise and sunset information and calendar data. SwitchBot also describes automatic scenes and AI-generated weather briefings and recommendations.

No current retail price or shipping status is established by the supplied announcement. It should therefore be considered an announced product until a regional product page confirms otherwise.

OBBOTO globe light

OBBOTO is a desk globe light with more than 2,900 RGB LEDs. SwitchBot says it supports motion sensing, music visualization, AI mood animations, time and weather patterns, and pixel-art modes for sleep, focus and relaxation.

What “AI-powered” means across the lineup

The phrase covers several different technologies rather than one unified feature:

Product or system AI role Practical question
onero H1 On-device vision-language-action control and physical manipulation Can it perform tasks reliably in an unstructured home?
AI Hub Edge AI, camera-event understanding and natural-language automation Which functions are local, and which require cloud services?
AI MindClip Transcription, summarization and conversational search What is recorded, retained and shared?
Weather Station AI-generated briefings and recommendations Are the forecasts and recommendations useful enough to justify the AI layer?
OBBOTO AI-generated mood animations and responsive lighting Does the feature require an account or cloud connection?
Lock Vision Biometric recognition and liveness detection What independent security evidence and fallback access methods exist?

What buyers should evaluate before ordering

  • Availability: distinguish shipping products from preorder announcements and demonstrations.
  • Subscriptions: identify recurring fees for cloud AI, storage, transcription or advanced automation.
  • Privacy: ask where camera footage, voice recordings, facial data and biometric templates are processed and stored.
  • Compatibility: verify support for Matter, Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, Home Assistant and OpenClaw for the specific model and region. Matter support does not guarantee that every proprietary feature appears on every platform.
  • Safety: autonomous arms and robots create different risks from cameras, microphones and smart locks. Do not assume unsupervised operation around children, pets, stairs, sharp objects, water or hot appliances is safe.
  • Reliability: a staged task demonstration is not evidence of dependable daily performance in a cluttered home.
  • Support: large robots require service networks, replacement parts, software updates and clear warranty terms.
  • Ecosystem fit: the AI Hub’s value increases if the home already contains SwitchBot devices, but that can also increase ecosystem lock-in.

The bigger significance for SwitchBot

SwitchBot already sells narrower-purpose smart-home and robotic products, including robot vacuums. The onero H1 represents a different ambition: an embodied-AI platform that can manipulate objects and perform varied chores rather than automate one defined job.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

That is the meaningful story behind the CES presentation. SwitchBot is trying to connect physical robotics, cameras, biometric access, local AI, voice interfaces and everyday automation into one ecosystem. But the commercial reality is still uneven. The AI Hub is the most concrete current product; the household robot and arms remain future-facing; and several other devices need regional pricing and launch information before they can be judged as buying options.

Readers should therefore treat the CES announcement as a roadmap and product showcase, not proof that three AI smart-home products are already shipping.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
