Sweid & Sweid has appointed McLaren Construction as main contractor for BAY360, its planned mixed-use destination at Lake D in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). The developer said enabling works were complete and main construction was due to begin in October 2026, with completion now targeted for Q1 2028.
Who is building BAY360?
McLaren Construction is the main contractor for BAY360. Sweid & Sweid announced the appointment on October 7, 2026, alongside the start of the main construction phase. The contract value was not disclosed. Sweid & Sweid’s appointment announcement
The appointment is the developer’s second project with McLaren. Their previous project, 6 Falak in Dubai Internet City, was completed in 2024 and later achieved LEED Gold certification, according to Sweid & Sweid. Sweid & Sweid

What is planned for BAY360?
BAY360 is planned as a neighbourhood hub on part of Lake D, with most of the lake remaining. The announced mix combines retail, food and drink, wellness, recreation and family-oriented outdoor areas. Plans include:

What changes are planned around Lake D?
The wider district works are intended to improve walking routes and public space around the lake. DMCC has described plans for a redesigned pedestrian avenue connecting the metro station with the far side of the lake, stronger links between JLT clusters and JLT Park, and upgraded lake edges with greenery, seating and walkways. The latest announced target is Q1 2028. That is later than the schedule given at the project launch on February 3, 2026, when completion was expected toward the end of 2027.
