The Town of Greenwich planned additional Shore Road sidewalk construction between Sound Beach Avenue and South Crossway for spring 2026, but the available Town material does not confirm whether work began or was completed. The planned extension follows an earlier section: the Town says the Shore Road segment from Sound Beach Avenue north to Tomac Avenue was completed in 2023. Local reporting has described the broader objective as extending sidewalk access toward Greenwich Point Park.
What is known about the schedule and current status
The Town’s April 2026 agenda material said additional construction was planned for spring 2026, following resident outreach and design refinements.
