Sandvik’s third-quarter 2026 results show a strong group performance alongside a more uneven Rock Processing quarter. Group revenue rose 29% year on year to SEK 37,728 million and order intake increased 20% to SEK 36,948 million. Adjusted EBITA reached SEK 8,477 million, a 22.5% margin. Within Rock Processing, total orders fell 2% and organic orders fell 8%, but the decline was amplified by a difficult comparison with SEK 189 million of major orders a year earlier. Management said infrastructure demand remained positive, led by demolition and recycling, with North America showing the strongest sentiment.

At fixed exchange rates, revenue growth was 26%, while organic revenue growth was 25%. Those measures separate operational growth from currency movements and acquisitions, but the company’s reported figures are the primary results for the quarter.

Yes. Rock Processing total order intake declined 2%, and organic order intake declined 8%. The equipment business was the main source of weakness: equipment order intake fell 27%, while aftermarket orders rose 7%.

The organic decline should not be read as a straightforward collapse in end-market demand. Rock Processing received no major order in Q3 2026, whereas the year-earlier quarter included SEK 189 million of major orders. Excluding those prior-year orders, the organic decline was 1%, a materially less severe comparison.
Why were Rock Processing results mixed when group results were strong?
Order intake and revenue reflect different timing. Large equipment projects can make quarterly orders lumpy, while revenue is recognized as equipment is delivered and services are performed. In Q3, Rock Processing revenue was stable even as equipment orders dropped, and its installed-base service activity continued to grow.

Because aftermarket represented 61% of Rock Processing revenue, the 7% increase in aftermarket orders helped support quarterly revenue and profitability despite weaker new-equipment bookings. Adjusted EBITA was SEK 418 million at a 15.0% margin.

What is driving demand for Sandvik’s crushing and screening business?
Management described underlying infrastructure demand as positive, especially in demolition and recycling. These applications are less dependent on new greenfield construction than traditional aggregates and can benefit from urban redevelopment, material recovery and the reuse of construction waste.
Demolition and recycling
Demolition and recycling were the clearest positive themes in the quarter. Sandvik President and CEO Stefan Widing said: “We should highlight demolition and recycling, and also North America, which is where we see the most positive market sentiment.” The comment identifies both the application areas and the region management considers most encouraging.
Mining, aggregates and regional signals

What new products and acquisitions did Sandvik announce?
Sandvik introduced a seven-model Compact Screens range in September. The launch expands its screening offer with a dedicated compact lineup aimed at processing applications where equipment size, mobility or site flexibility matters.

Group revenue and profit growth show that Sandvik’s overall businesses were performing strongly. Rock Processing’s stable revenue, 7% aftermarket-order growth and 15.0% adjusted EBITA margin point to continuing work in the installed base. The 27% equipment-order decline is important, but the absence of a major order and the SEK 189 million prior-year comparison make it a noisy quarter-on-quarter indicator of demand.

For demolition and recycling contractors, the report’s practical signal is that these applications remain among the better-supported parts of the infrastructure market, particularly in North America. For equipment suppliers and buyers, the results also show why a single quarter of bookings should be assessed alongside aftermarket trends, revenue conversion and the size of prior-period projects.
