Sadie’s Place is a planned mixed-use redevelopment at 139 N. Ridgewood Drive in downtown Sebring, on the former Nan-ces-o-wee Hotel site. Public records confirm that the Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) selected a development team, retained ownership of the property and announced a groundbreaking for March 31, 2026. They do not yet establish the project’s exact construction stage in October 2026 or a firm opening date.
What is Sadie’s Place?
Sadie’s Place is intended to turn the long-vacant former Nan-ces-o-wee Hotel property into a community-oriented destination linked to Sadie Kahn Memorial Park. The announced plan combines several smaller commercial uses rather than a single building function:

- A restaurant
- Retail shops
- A food-truck component
- An Airstream-based business concept
The Florida Redevelopment Association described the proposal as a “vibrant gathering space” designed to create a welcoming, community-focused environment. The concept is therefore both a private development and part of the CRA’s broader downtown public-realm goals.

Where is it being built?
The project address is 139 N. Ridgewood Drive, Sebring, Florida. That is the former Nan-ces-o-wee Hotel site in the downtown district, next to Sadie Kahn Memorial Park. The location matters because the project is planned to add food, shopping and gathering activity within an existing downtown park-and-business setting rather than at a new suburban commercial site.

The public concept identifies uses, not a final tenant roster. Planned components are a restaurant, retail shops, a food truck and an Airstream-based business. In January 2026, four businesses were reported ready to sign leases. That figure describes early leasing commitments and should not be read as four businesses already operating, four completed spaces or a final list of tenants.

For an accurate status report, readers should look for a dated CRA announcement, a statement from the development team, a permit or inspection record, or a directly attributable city update. Until one of those sources reports a later milestone, the safest description is that Sadie’s Place is an active downtown redevelopment project whose construction start is confirmed, while its present stage remains unverified.
When will Sadie’s Place open?
No firm opening date has been established. The available reports do not provide a target month, season or year, and the four prospective leases do not constitute an opening schedule. An opening announcement should be treated as confirmed only when the CRA, the developer or a named tenant publishes a specific date.
