Can I still reach businesses and properties on Western Avenue?
Yes, the report says residents, business owners, jurors and customers can still access properties beyond the road-closed-to-through-traffic signs on Western Avenue. The restriction is on passing through the closed segment between Macy Street and Oak Street, not on reaching every destination past the signs. Expect to approach from the direction allowed by current barricades and leave the same way if through movement is blocked.
Is Elm Street open to local traffic?

Where is Pioneer Road closed, and can I park there?

How should drivers navigate the construction zones?
- Follow every road-closed, detour and barricade sign in place when you arrive.
- Do not drive around a closure or move a construction barricade, even if the roadway appears clear.
- If you are visiting a property with local access, proceed only along the route permitted by signs and on-site conditions.
- Keep vehicles out of the Pioneer Road construction zone during working hours because parking is prohibited there.
- Allow for schedule changes: rain, freezing temperatures or other weather can alter concrete, electrical and excavation work.
When will the Fond du Lac road work be finished?
The October 26 report did not provide completion dates for any of the five locations. It described work planned for later in the week and noted that all schedules were weather dependent. No. The KFIZ report published October 26, 2026 supplied no final date for Western Avenue, Macy Street, Elm Street, Drury Place or Pioneer Road. It only described work expected to continue and warned that weather could change timing.

Does a road-closed sign always mean nearby destinations are unreachable?
